Please don’t walk your dogs in this heat, early in the morning or late at night 🙏🏼

A dog has never died from missing a walk, but your dog COULD die from heatstroke❗️

🚨Alert ahead of predicted heatwave🚨
When the temperature rises, unfortunately so does the risk of heatstroke in our pets.

Some tips on how to keep your pets safe in hot weather includes:

- If you have an active pet then indoor enrichment such as food puzzles can be useful to avoid walking in the heat!🧩

- Walk your pets at cooler times of day, first thing in the morning or after the sun has set!☀️

- Provide access to water and shade at all times!⛱️

Heat stroke in animals can be fatal so knowing the signs and seeking emergency care as soon as possible can be life saving!

Signs of heat exhaustion may include:
🐾Excessive panting
🐾Vomiting
🐾Drooling
🐾Weakness or collapse

If you notice any of these symptoms, call us on 0161 794 4100 immediately.

Whilst being cautious and mindful we hope you enjoy the lovely weather!🤍💚
