🐾 Quick reminder — when did you last check your pet’s microchip details?

After seeing the amount of lost dogs in our local area recently, we’ve decided to invest in a microchip scanner here at Woof & Meow Pet Spa. 💜

If you’re unsure whether your pet is chipped, or you simply can’t remember their microchip number, we can now scan them for you and give you the chip number so you can check that the registered contact details are correct and up to date.

It’s especially worth checking if you’ve:
🏠 Moved house
📱 Changed your phone number
📧 Changed your email address
🐾 Rehomed or taken ownership of a pet

And this isn’t just for dogs! Cats and rabbits can be microchipped too 🐶🐱🐰, so we're happy to scan those as well.

A microchip can only help reunite a lost pet with their family if the details attached to it are correct. ❤️

Hopefully you’ll never need it — but it’s one of those little jobs that’s absolutely worth doing.

🐾 Booking multiple dogs online? Here’s how! 🐾
We’ve made this quick 1-minute guide showing you exactly how to book more than one dog into the same visit using our online booking system 📱🐶🐶
Simply follow the steps in the video to add each dog and choose their services.
✨ A couple of things to remember: • Each dog needs to be added separately so enough time is allocated for their groom. • A 50% booking fee is taken when booking online and comes off your final bill. • Can’t find your dog’s breed or the service you need? Please give the salon a call and we can help.

🐾 New to Woof & Meow Pet Spa? 💜

First appointments can feel a bit daunting — especially if you’re worried your pet won’t behave, their coat isn’t in the best condition, or you’re not quite sure what to ask for.

Please don’t worry about any of that!

We don’t expect perfectly behaved pets, and you definitely don’t need to know all the grooming terminology. 😂 What helps us most is simply knowing:

🐶🐱 What your pet is like and anything they may be nervous about
✂️ Their current coat condition and grooming history
❤️ Any health issues or anything we need to be aware of
✨ What you’d ideally like from their groom

And if you genuinely have no idea what they need, that’s absolutely fine too — that’s what we’re here for. We can talk through the options and recommend what’s best for your pet and their coat.

We groom dogs, cats and small animals, and every pet is treated as an individual. 💜

✨ The groom isn’t usually the problem — it’s the gap after it that catches people out! ✨

We can get your dog looking gorgeous in the salon, but keeping them comfortable and manageable between appointments is just as important. 🐶✂️

Leaving too long between grooms can mean:
🐾 Knots and matting creeping back in
🐾 Nails getting too long
🐾 Coats becoming harder to manage at home
🐾 The next groom taking longer and being more uncomfortable for your dog

Regular grooming isn’t just about keeping them looking nice — it makes the whole experience easier for your dog, you and your groomer. 💜

Not sure whether your dog should be coming every 4, 6, 8 weeks (or somewhere in between)? Just ask us! We’re always happy to recommend a schedule based on their breed, coat, lifestyle and what you can realistically manage at home.

And remember — booking your next appointment before you leave is the easiest way to avoid that dreaded “oops, it’s been 10 weeks” moment 😹🙈

Our Open Spaces team have been out to the Clegg this week issuing public notices for Blue Green Algae in the water.

Please avoid all contact and do not let dogs swim or drink the water.

The water is also temporarily closed for fishing.
