We do however run a new-style 8-week Foundation course which focuses on understanding your dog. Over the duration of the course there will be a short chat each week about why your dog may be responding in a particular way to a situation and what we can do to help them through any difficulties they have. We will also, of course, cover basic obedience to keep your dog safe. All dogs must have formed
a bond with their owner/handler before any real learning can take place. Your dog must feel safe and trust your choices. Not all Socialisation is good for your dog, so you need to understand what your dog requires to have a secure and contented life. At the end of the 8-week course, it is our aim to have covered:
Socialisation
Heelwork
Control - gateways and food
Play
Recalls
Examination of all areas of their bodies
Stays
Successful completion of the course will result in a certificate and rosette awarded by the Club. We are a small friendly club. This is really good quality training for you and your dog which will make you feel proud to be an owner! Get in contact to start training in our programme.

Our Foundation Course is for all ages. The course runs for 8 weeks and costs £50 payable at the first session. The class is usually for around 8 -10 dogs. There is a pre-booking procedure which ensures each dog is expected and registered for the session. The first class runs from 6.30pm to 7.20pm (Registration on the first evening is at 6.15pm) with the second class following at 7.30pm.
