Meet the Green Tench or gorgeously named Tinca tinca

A beautiful pond fish with darker olive green skin above and stunning gold below.

Quietly social they are best kept in pairs or small groups. They are also handy around the pond and will help with maintenance by finishing up uneaten food and vegetation. Whilst rooting around cleaning up the bottom they also stir sediment which can then be removed by your filter, a win win. They also need targeted feeding in addition to the clearing up and we recommend a sinking pellet.

A lovely addition to any pond!

Dinner is served! One of our favourite times of day (us and the fish) is feeding time at our marine show tank. A lovely mix is carefully prepared in the morning and come dinner time, its major excitement all round.

If you are in store around feeding time it’s worth a watch!

The Clown Angel Fish (and all angels) are a majestic species which require a taller than average aquarium, due to its adult height and long trailing finnage. Substrate should be soft and smooth, to protect the delicate finnage when the fish are swimming in the lower part of tank. A good cover of aquatic plants is essential for these beautiful fish to feel safe.

Angels are sociable and naturally live in groups but should never be housed alongside small tetras as they will eat them. Also, avoid adding tank mates that are likely to nip their fins.
