🌙 No Need to Walk Alone 🐾

As the evenings get darker, I’m joining the - No Need to Walk Alone campaign by hosting a Tails Trails community walk in Saffron Walden on Sunday 25 October, the day the clocks go back.

We’ll follow a roughly hour-long loop along the local byways and footpaths. Dogs can be on or off lead at your discretion, so come along in whatever way works best for you and your dog. Glow-in-the-dark collars and torches are very welcome!

It’s a chance to get outside, meet other local dog owners and enjoy a walk together. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand. 💙

Gundog training isn’t just for gundogs! And it certainly isn’t only for dogs who go out on shoots! 🐾

It’s a brilliant way to build a stronger bond with your dog through fun, purposeful training that gives them an appropriate outlet for their natural instincts.

Gundog-style training can help you develop:

Training is tiring work! 💤🐾

Halfway through his very first 1-2-1 training session, this little guy decided it was time for a quick snooze before carrying on.

It’s a great reminder that dogs don’t always need miles and miles of walking to feel fulfilled. Mental stimulation can be just as tiring, if not more so, than physical exercise.

Learning new skills, problem solving, sniffing, focusing and working around distractions all get those brains working hard.

Sometimes a short training session followed by a good snooze is exactly what they need!

Work the brain, not just the legs (and it might save your legs too 🤣)

Something a little different we've been trialling... 💫

We've recently been asked to test out , an app that looks at your dog's personality, patterns and your relationship with them through astrology. And obviously, with three very different dogs in this house, I was intrigued to see what it had to say! 😂

You add your dog's birth details and AstroAnimal creates their birth chart, with personalised insights, daily prompts and even compatibility readings between you and your dog.

I've been having a play around with it and it's definitely been a fun one to explore, especially seeing what it comes up with for the different personalities!

That’s exactly what Manners in Motion is for!

Rather than standing in a training field, we take our training on the move, working on everyday skills while navigating all the things you actually encounter on a walk.
