Dave update ❤️
My little man is finally home from hospital. ❤️
The Cushings tests came back negative 🙏 and while his liver enzymes are still elevated, there are no raised white blood cells and no signs of inflammation.
What they have found is that Dave has high blood pressure, and he's now started medication for it. If this is the culprit behind everything, then this mama is one very happy Emma because it's something we can manage.
When I picked him up, he crawled straight into my arms and refused to let go. I won't lie, that absolutely broke me. ❤️
The last few days have been an ordeal for all of us, but most of all for Dave. Since getting home he's had a lovely dinner, taken his first tablet like a little champion, and is currently acting as though he didn't just put us all through several years' worth of worry in a few days. 😆
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every prayer, message, kind word and bit of support. We have felt every bit of love you've sent our way.
He goes back on Friday for a blood pressure check and urine test, but thankfully nothing invasive. We're keeping everything crossed that this is just a little blip in the road and that brighter days are ahead.
Tonight I'm just feeling incredibly thankful.
