Fairfields Farm Riding School & Livery A family-based Equestrian Centre on the outskirts of Ryde. ​We are committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for riders of all levels.

Fairfields Farm riding school and livery is a small and quiet yard based on the outskirts of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside offering many downland hacks and beach riding. We are licenced by the Isle of Wight Council (Ref LIC/24/1375/RIDEST) and are fully insured. We offer a fully personalised service catering for all ages and abilities. Including horse riding lessons, hacks, birthday parties, pony days, camps and other horse activities and experiences.

🐎WINTER SHOW TIMES - Sunday, 11th October '26

It's the first of five shows in our winter series, and the times are in! Good luck to all our riders; don't forget to arrive in plenty of time, as we do keep to a tight schedule.

Jason from Vivid Catering will also be on hand providing delicious food, drinks and burgers.

This season, we have added a 90 cms class! Best of luck, and we can't wait to see how you all get on.

🐎Fairfields Winter Showjumping Series is back this Sunday!

Five shows across the winter, with classes for all abilities. Open to everyone, including our riding school students, with the option to hire one of our fantastic riding school ponies.

Winter Series Dates:

⭐ Sunday 11th October 2026

⭐ Sunday 22nd November 2026

⭐ Sunday 31st January 2027

⭐ Sunday 28th February 2027

⭐ Sunday 28th March 2027

There are rosettes to 5th place at each show, with points collected throughout the series and a sash for the overall winner!

Entry Information:

🫰£11 per class

- Riding school pony hire: £16

Classes start at 10am. Pre-entry only – entries close the Friday before each show.

And, of course, there will be plenty of drinks and burgers to keep everyone going from Vivid Catering

Whether you're entering your first showjumping class or aiming for the overall series title, we'd love to see you there.

⭐ Star of the Month ⭐

Our first Fairfield’s Farm star of the month is Lily Hopkins.

Lily has made a huge amount of progress in her riding this year. Her biggest achievement was winning the 5-bar Challenge at our summer camp, finishing at 80 cm on one of our harder ponies to jump, Bear 🐻.

She has progressed so much and is about to get her first loan pony, who will be arriving at Fairfield’s in the weeks to come.

Lily always has a can-do attitude with her riding and will give anything a go. She also loves to ride the harder horses and ponies and makes it look easy.

🐎BRAMBLES 2000-2026 🖤

Sixteen years of loving you, Brambles, and heartbreaking doesn’t come close.

You looked after my daughters and my granddaughter, and you taught so many children to ride later in life. Charging through the countryside, jumping gates and hedges, was probably your favourite, with your little rider JayJay egging you on, your nose twitching from side to side the more excited you became.

You looked after Lani even when she decided you should be a 'dressage pony ', always trying your hardest in the medium trot, even though you only had little legs.

For now, fly high, precious girl, and go find your pony friends. Say hi from all of us.

Love you forever, and remember you every day.
