Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago - we had to make the hard decision to put Owl to sleep.

He developed a lump on his throat which was rapidly growing - unfortunately with its location we decided that removal wouldn’t be in his best interest. Unfortunately the lump grew bigger suddenly and started impacting on his breathing and eating, effecting his quality of life, so we decided to not let him suffer and put him to sleep.

Owl we rescued from to bond with Lumi after he fell out with his mates - Owl was an amazing brother to Lumier, and is greatly missed by us both.

Frappe is still up for adoption - adoption through Hundred Acre Hamster Rescue 🏡

✨Meet Frappe✨

Frappe is a beautiful, 13 month old, Female Syrian hamster.

She was surrendered due to no fault of her own, her owner was just no longer able to care for her. She is a beautiful light gingery brown and white with the cutest little black ear markings!

She is a friendly, inquisitive and beautiful girl. She is happy to be handled and picked up - and will happily take treats from your hand.

She’s a very active girl, who loves to run on her wheel and explore her enclosure. She’s a fairly early riser for a hamster (around 8pm when I feed her). Shes a foody - she loves to search and forage for her food in the evening.

Frappe will need an enclosure will only be rehomed to a home which meets ethical guidelines (100x50cm minimum) with a 28inch wheel and lots of enrichment. More information and care guides can be found at Hundred Acre Hamster Rescue 🐹

Unfortunately our teeniest resident, Cariad, passed over the rainbow bridge this week🌈

Despite her small size, she had a huge personality and the room feels emptier without her getting up to chaos.

May celebrations✨

We celebrate the chinchillas 3rd gotcha day on the 14th! I can’t believe it’s been three whole years since Toothless and Light Fury entered our family 🖤🤍

Cogsworth and Lumier celebrate their 5th birthday on the 20th and their 3rd gotcha day!

Pickett also celebrated his 4th birthday and 3rd gotcha day on the 20th!

Acorn, Nettle and Pinecone have been with us a whole year on the 20th of this month!

And Spotty pony, Eclipse, celebrates his 12th birthday on the 31st!

April celebrations✨

We celebrated the kittens, Shark and Pinto’s, 3rd birthday on the 1st of April!

We also celebrated our Indian runner ducks, Pinky Pie and Twilights 4th gotcha day with us!

On the 3rd we celebrated a whole year with Nimbus and Nebula, our bottle fed lambs. And we celebrated Nimmy’s 1st birthday on the 1st!

On the 7th we celebrated our Spotty pony, Eclipse’s 4th year with us!

And then we also celebrated our baby ducks 4th year with us today (on the 29th!).

This month we also said goodbye to Boots, who has gone to her new home! 🏠

We placed an order with Pouch Stretcher🐹

We ordered a Syrian and Dwarf mix - as well as five mini packs for our fosters to take home with them to their new families.

I’m super impressed with the variety and quality of the food - I have already tried it with the hamsters we have (1 resident Robo, 2 foster Syrians) and they’ve devoured it!!
