🌾Grass seed season is here, so please keep an extra eye on your dogs after walkies!

Grass seeds can work their way into paws, ears, eyes, noses and even under the skin, causing pain, infections and sometimes requiring surgery to remove.

After every walk, check: • Between the toes and paw pads • Ears • Eyes • Nose • Armpits and groin • Long feathering around the legs and feet.

If your dog is suddenly licking a paw, shaking their head, squinting, or seems uncomfortable after a walk, contact your vet as soon as possible.

Keeping the hair around your dog's paws and lower legs tidy can also help reduce the risk of grass seeds getting caught.
