I’m now away on holiday until Monday 12th 🌄

No doubt I’ll still respond if you message me, but please bear with me as replies may take a little longer than usual while I’m away.

In the meantime here's a glimpse into my recent walks, visits and pet sitting 🐾

"My dog always knows when I'm coming home.. it's like they can tell the time."

Not exactly.. your dog isn't looking at the clock thinking, "Ooo it's 10 to 5, my human will be home soon!"

A fascinating theory is that dogs use their incredible sense of smell to help estimate the passing of time. When you leave the house, your scent doesn't simply disappear. Tiny particles remain around the home gradually dispersing and becoming weaker as the hours go by - The idea is that your dog learns to recognise these changes. As with everything we do with our dogs, consistency is one of the best ways they learn. So if you keep the same day to day routine and leave for work at roughly the same time each day, the repetition helps them learn what your scent is like soon after you've left and how it changes by the time you return.

So while dogs can't tell the time like we do.. in a sense, you could say they smell time and that's pretty amazing! 🐾

I can’t believe it’s been another whole year of Pawsome Walks.. time really does fly!

3 years of spending my days with all your wonderful pets has been an absolute pleasure. I genuinely feel so lucky to do what I do every day, and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings. It really is such a privilege watching all the amazing animals I get to spend my days with continue to grow, learn and flourish.

Thank you all so much for supporting me and my little business. I wouldn’t be able to do it without you all, and I appreciate you so much.

Here’s to another year of happy faces, muddy paws and lots of fun! 🐾
