Double the trouble, double the fun, and officially double the birthdays! 🥳🎂

Huge happy 7th birthday to the handsome Frankie and Ralphy! These two fabulous Patterdale x Lakeland crosses are regular faces around GreenArk, popping in every week to stock up on their absolute favourite Bella+Duke raw food and tasty natural treats. 🥩✨

As you can see, birthday boy Frankie wasted no time testing out his brand-new space hopper toy right in the middle of the shop floor - and we think it’s safe to say it passed the bounce test with flying colours! 🚀🐾

Thank you for bringing so much energy into the shop, boys. We hope you got thoroughly spoiled! Drop some belated birthday love for Frankie and Ralphy in the comments below! 👇❤️

Is your dog dreading the sound of fireworks as Halloween and Bonfire Night approach? 🎆🐾

Sudden loud bangs, flashes, and spooky doorbells can leave even the calmest pets pacing, trembling, and terrified. Help keep your four-legged best friend relaxed naturally with GreenArk Anxiety Support.

Packed with traditional calming herbs like Chamomile and Valerian root, it is formulated to soothe nervous, anxious, and highly strung dogs without sedation.

Best of all? No wrestling with stressful pills. Simply sprinkle the natural herbal blend over their regular food at mealtime! 🥣✨

Start introducing it into their daily meals ahead of the fireworks season to build a foundation of calm before the celebrations begin.

Busted! Meet Hunter, a handsome 18-month-old visitor and official pick-and-mix bandit. 🐾

Hunter is a stunning Belgian Malinois powered by Green Ark raw food - which clearly gives him plenty of energy for his shop-floor mischief. Every time our backs were turned, this cheeky lad was trying to help himself to the treat bar!

Can we really blame him for having great taste?

Always a pleasure having this clever boy and his humans in the shop. Keep being your cheeky self, Hunter! 🥩✨

Give a warm welcome to our newest furry regulars, Fenrir and Gypsy! 🐾

This gorgeous duo just moved to the area with their family and stopped in to say hello and stock up on their essentials.

Fenrir is a striking 3-year-old Deerhound cross Borzoi with legs for days, and sweet Gypsy is a lovely 10-year-old lady who is 3/4 Greyhound and 1/4 German Shepherd. Both were absolute naturals at picking out their favourite food and treats!

We’re so excited to have this wonderful family in our neighbourhood and can’t wait to see their happy tails walking through our doors on regular visits. Welcome to the area, Fenrir and Gypsy! ❤️

Today is Veterinary Nurse Day – an opportunity to recognise the skilled, compassionate people caring for animals and supporting their owners.

Veterinary nurses do far more than many of us realise. Their work can include monitoring animals during procedures, administering treatments, running clinics, taking samples, offering nutritional guidance and comforting worried pets – and equally worried humans.

They are often beside us during some of the happiest and most difficult moments of pet ownership, bringing knowledge, patience and reassurance when we need it most.

Today, we’re sending a heartfelt thank you to veterinary nurses everywhere for the difference they make.

Has a veterinary nurse gone above and beyond for you and your pet? Give them a well-deserved mention in the comments.

It's , celebrating one of Britain’s most recognisable wild animals.

With their distinctive black-and-white faces, badgers are a familiar part of the British countryside – although their nocturnal habits mean we’re more likely to spot signs of them than the animals themselves.

Staffordshire’s woodlands, hedgerows and countryside provide important habitats for badgers and many other species. If you are lucky enough to see one, observe quietly from a safe distance, keep dogs under control and never attempt to feed or approach it.

If you find an injured badger, contact a local wildlife rescue organisation for advice rather than trying to handle it.

Have you ever spotted a badger around Cannock Chase or elsewhere in Staffordshire?

Yesterday was – but at GreenArk, every day revolves around animals!

Dogs and cats may dominate our camera rolls, but our animal-loving community also includes horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, wild birds and many more.

Whatever their size or species, animals rely on people to understand and meet their needs. Responsible care means providing suitable nutrition, housing, healthcare, enrichment and the freedom to express natural behaviours.

GreenArk is proud to support local animal owners with a wide range of food, bedding, treats, accessories and friendly, knowledgeable advice.

Today, we’d love to hear about the animals in your life. Are you devoted to dogs, ruled by cats, horse-mad or responsible for a wonderfully mixed menagerie?

Dogs are walking partners, sofa companions, enthusiastic welcoming committees and highly efficient detectors of dropped food.

For , we’re celebrating everything dogs bring to our lives: friendship, routine, laughter, comfort and a very good reason to get outdoors even when the weather is less than inviting.

In return, they depend on us for suitable nutrition, exercise, healthcare, enrichment, security and time. Their needs may change as they move from puppyhood to adulthood and into their senior years, so it’s important to adapt their food, activity and home comforts accordingly.

GreenArk is here with food, treats, toys, bedding and knowledgeable advice for every stage of your dog’s life.

What is the best thing about sharing your life with a dog?

Sit. Stay. Roll over. Open the treat cupboard when nobody is looking.

It’s Pet Tricks Day, and we want to know about your pet’s cleverest – or most ridiculous – talent.

Perhaps your dog gives a perfect high five, your rabbit responds to their name, your cat can open doors or your hamster has developed an impressive escape routine. Intentional tricks and accidental talents both count!

Training can provide valuable mental stimulation and strengthen the bond between pets and their people. Keep sessions short, positive and appropriate for your animal, rewarding progress without expecting perfection.

Tell us your pet’s best trick in the comments!
