Lovely talking all things Hoof Boot related with The Hoof Boot Shop and Cavallo Hoof Boots. Cavallo have been on the market for 21yrs now and I often use them in my rehab work. I’ve trekked up Cheltenham Hills in them as well and they are a great all around boot!!!

Great catch up with Greg from Cavallo Hoof Boots and Tracey Pattison from Natural Neddies Equine Podiatry this afternoon!
Travelled all the way from Vancouver, so we thought we’d treat him to our local pub, not knowing Greg had eaten there many times before 😅🙈😂

Never have I been thankful of the rain so much as today! Mammoth task, exfoliating and tidying up Moomins chunky cob feet! To note he was only trimmed five weeks ago! I must have removed half an inch or more of compacted sole and wall and one of his frogs just peeled of whole with a little tug from my hand 🙂 I bet he feels much better after that! lovely feet and lovely manners!

Notice to all current and future clients. As of Wednesday 23rd Sept, I will be a student again.

I’ve been accepted to undertake a Counselling & Psychotherapy Degree at my local college 🙂

As such, my new working days will be Mondays all day , Tuesdays all day and a half day on a Friday morning.

Calling all clients, The bar has now been set, for wet weather trimming protection. Whilst I am not enjoying the dreary weather, I’m enjoying the softer feet 🙂

The amount of horses that I see with physical limitations or injuries is far higher than ones I see with genuine behaviour issues. It’s our job to to help them out and work with them. A behaviour issue is an owner issue and I expect the owner to sort out that problem!

This is why 90% of my client base in on a regular 5 week schedule, I would love it if everyone would consider a 4 week schedule for the below reasons, but I do understand for many finances are extremely tight! As the saying goes, ‘prevention is better than cure’ and many save much more in vets bills than the additional £140 a year that it would cost.
