My policy is 20 degrees - no walking. I routinely see the impact on the other side. Its sooo sad
With preparation and by knowing how to keep your dog cool, you can drastically reduce the chance of your dog getting heat stroke:
⛱ Ensure your dog has access to shade at all times.
🌞Avoid walking your dog at the hottest parts of the day -Temperatures generally peak between 3:00pm and 5:00pm
⛅When out walking your dog, take regular stops in shaded areas.
💦Take water out on walks, for your dog as well as for you.
😎Use sun cream on dogs with pale or thin fur.
🐾Don’t walk your dog on a pavement (or artificial lawn) that’s too hot - touch the pavement with the back of your hand for seven seconds. If you can’t hold out for the full seven seconds because the surface is too hot, then it’s also too hot for your dog’s paws.
🛻Never leave your dog alone in the car. EVER !
