If you think dog walking is glamorous, consider spending some time with a spaniel... 😂

This is my Teddy monster, the muddiest dog in the world! 🫠🙃🤦🏻‍♀️ Teddy is a cockapoo, but looks/acts just like a spaniel. He is really intelligent, but he is as daft as a brush!

Rain or shine, he still manages to end his walk absolutely covered in mud. But I wouldn't have him any other way! 🧡

Happy Friday!

I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to those who may be new to my page.. life has been extremely busy recently, and I haven't been able to update this page as much as I would have liked!

I am originally from Wakefield, however during my adult life I have lived in Leeds, Lancashire, Australia and Bradford (I know, Bradford doesn't really compare to Australia! 😂)

I spent the first few years of my career working in palliative/end of life care, but took a completely different turn during the pandemic and worked in Customer Experience. However, after feeling unfulfilled for 3.5 years, I knew I needed to get back to doing what I loved - caring. This time it was just going to look a little bit different... 🐶🧡

Me and my partner are keen hikers, and we have completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks (3 times), the National Three Peaks, and we also spend a fair bit of time in the Peak/Lake District. Hiking is definitely my place of calm.

Paired with my love of hiking, my dog Teddy changed my world 4.5 years ago when I brought him home as a puppy. He taught me that a simple life is a happy life, and that life spent in the great outdoors is definitely a life well spent! 😌

Dog walking isn't just a job for me, it's also my passion. When I'm not at work, you will often find me out walking my dog, or hiking with our wonderful hiking friends, who we call our "Hiking family".

Anyway, I'll stop waffling on now... 🫣

I have been working really hard with all of the dogs in my care, particularly with their listening, waiting and recall skills.

I am not a dog trainer by any means, but to be able to let them off their leads, good recall is a must!

Martha and Vinny just LOVE chasing squirrels, but they still come back to me every time for some tasty venison treats 😋

I am so proud of my little Paddy Waggers, they have made so much progress in the short time they have been walking with me 🐶🧡

As you can see, they are all wonderful models! 😂💁🏻‍♀️

Since coming off my personal social media, apart from for business advertising purposes, I keep forgetting to post!

So let me introduce you to Dougie, one of my newest clients dogs 🥰

Dougie doesn't like tall people, so at our first meet and greet he was barking at me a lot. It wasn't clear whether we were going to be a good match. I am a giant, FYI! 😂

We persevered though, and I did 3 home visits with Dougie to start off with. After lots of patience, venison treats and hot dogs, we have now started our weekly walks! 🤗

Now Dougie is much calmer when I am present, and he is really starting to enjoy his walks.

Having an anxious dog myself, I know how difficult it can be at times.

This is definitely my proudest achievement since starting my business, because I know how beneficial his weekly walks are going to be for him 😌🧡🐾

Happy Friday Paddy Waggers! 🐾🧡

Some of you may have seen or heard about Billy's Bus, a wonderful service providing fun days out for people's dogs.

They are now asking for donations to help the homeless and their dogs in Leeds (please see the post I have shared).

One of my new years resolutions was to help the homeless more, so with this in mind, I wondered if anyone would like to donate anything, and I will do a collection next week :)

I had already put together a big rucksack, multiple pairs of gloves, thick socks, scarfs, flasks for hot drinks and a few other bits when I did a clear out at the beginning of the year. I will also buy some dog food to add to my donation.

If you have anything lying around in wardrobes and drawers that you no longer need, or any dog food that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the homeless. These winter months are difficult for many, but especially those who are homeless 💔

I cannot imagine Teddy living out on the streets, just thinking about it breaks my heart! 🥹

My newest recruit, Stella 🫶

Stella is a ray of sunshine, and wags her entire body when she's happy!

Today she greeted me with the biggest smile, showing me her teefies, and she had the waggiest tail 🥰

We have only done 2 walks together so far, but she is very clever and understands everything I say.

I am definitely going to enjoy our Wednesday morning walks ☺️🧡🐾

Meet Martha 😌🧡🐾

Martha is a beautiful girl, with her own little ways of communicating what she wants/needs.

She has joined me for some partner and group walks, however we had a lovely little solo stroll last week, and she really enjoyed exploring, whilst we worked on getting to know each other ☺️

Martha loves chasing cats and squirrels.. 🤭
