Our sponsored Support Dogs puppy Roxy has recently completed her puppy preschool classes. 🎓
This is a 4-week course that all new puppies attend where they learn all the basic obedience such as sit, down, go to bed; as well as being introduced to grooming and handling, having their teeth brushed, walking on a loose lead. Roxy also partakes in confidence building exercises and getting familiar with their working bandana.
The team at Support Dogs say Roxy is a sweet girl who is very eager to learn new things, especially for a tasty treat! 😋
These classes are hugely important to help puppies like Roxy progress through their training. The hope is that they’re able to start ‘big school’ at about 15 months old. This is full-time training where she will learn the specific tasks to become a support dog and provide life-saving support for those affected by epilepsy, autism or disability. 💙
In the meantime, our team are continuing to fundraise for this incredible charity; and a huge thank you to our fantastic customers in making valuable donations on our card machines in our surgeries. In fact, collectively, we’ve raised £15,697 so far! 🎉
