Well the secret is finally out! Baby number 2 is well and truly on the way, our pack will be expanding by one more member at the end of March 2027 💙💖

My official last day of work will be Friday the 18th of December, and after the Christmas period is over the wonderful Loren will be taking over for me fully, she’s already got to know quite a few of our gorgeous regular clients, who all love her, so fingers crossed the dogs will find the transition easy! 🙏

The search for someone else to join our ever growing team may be at an end too so fingers crossed in a few weeks I’ll be able to confirm those rumours too 😂

I just want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of my clients, over the last few months I’ve had to reschedule walks, cancel or let out know that I’ve been running behind as this pregnancy has already been a lot harder than my first. I also really appreciate the huge amount of trust that has gone into me picking the person/people who will be taking over the walking side of things for me whilst I’m off. I never take for granted just how much trust goes into this job and you guys have let me choose your next walker, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Also this isn’t goodbye, haha just when you thought you’d got rid of me, no! I will still be very much the heart and soul of RCK9. The business will counter to grow, we’re still taking on new clients for walks and pet sitting too. I’ll just be taking on a good old admin role. Something I can do sat on my arse, which I’m not very good at doing but I’ve been told by the medical professionals I’ve got to start doing more of 😂

But role on March 27, I’m so excited for another baby, and I can’t wait for Atlas to experience being a big brother. I very well may go back on this statement come next year 🤣

Holy moly what a massive photo dump of the last 3 weeks! Memo to me keep up with the weekly roundups 🤣

It’s been crazy for me behind the scenes, dealing with a house move, which is FINALLY back on, and everything else! ❤️

In other news Loren has been absolutely smashing it, she’s taken brilliant care of the majority of the Friday gang, plus extras during the week. Honestly I’ve done something right by taking Loren on as she’s just blown me away with her reliability, and eagerness to do this job. It takes a special person to really do this job properly and by god she’s absolutely acing it! ⭐️

Now begins the next search to find the perfect person to add to the RCK9 team! 🐾

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about dogs and would love to build their experience, confidence and client base within a friendly and supportive business.

🐾 What we're looking for

The right person will be:

- Kind, patient and caring towards all dogs

- Reliable, responsible and trustworthy

- Flexible and willing to adapt to different dogs and their individual needs

- Comfortable handling dogs with different personalities and behaviours

- Keen to learn and develop their knowledge and experience

- Professional and confident when dealing with clients

- Self-employed and able to manage their own schedule and workload

🚗 Requirements
- Own reliable vehicle with the ability to travel between clients

- Current DBS check

- Previous experience with dogs is preferred, although the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important

- Female applicants only, due to some of our clients having dogs who are reactive or uncomfortable around men

This role would be ideal for someone who wants to grow alongside an established and expanding dog-care business, starting with a manageable number of clients and gradually building towards more regular work as their confidence and experience develops.

‼️Heart of The Beast‼️

Not my usual post I know but I just wanted to spread a bit of awareness on this topic as there’s a new Brad Pitt movie out that has an amazing German Shepherd as one of the main characters.

Before you decide you NEED a German Shepherd based off seeing one on the big screen, please give this some thought…

Odin or Uber, his real name, is a working dog who has been trained to a ridiculously high standard, higher than some actual working dogs I’ve met.

THEY DO NOT COME LIKE THIS. 🤣

If you get a German Shepherd on a whim and expect them to be like the dogs you see in the movies, be prepared to be hugely disappointed.

These dogs are extremely intelligent, they need regimented training and exercise, both mental and physical from their first day until their last day.

I’m letting you know from experience, it takes LITERAL blood, sweat and tears to train these beautiful dogs.

You also need to take in to account breeding and genetics. If you get a £100 GSD pup from Bazza down the road, fully expect it to have hip and elbow problems, as well as being a nervous unstable wreck.

Dogs like Odin cost THOUSANDS and then hundreds more in maintenance.

So in short if you do not like getting up at a sparrows fart…

If you like your personal space…

If you like wearing clothes that don’t have hair attached to every inch…

Don’t be a dick and be influenced by one dog out of one movie 🫠

But also they’re the best breed ever if you’re a capable handler and I’d have another one tomorrow, but I have many screws loose, so don’t be like me 🤣🤣

🐾Last weeks weekly round up!🐾

We’re missing a few furry faces either because my phone camera decided to play silly buggers or because of holidays. ☀️

But here’s some moments I managed to capture of last weeks walks.🐕

We’ve had lots of lovely sunny weather without it being too hot so that’s me and the dogs happy!

And me and Atlas had the pleasure of cat sitting Apollo, Blu and Bo again which is always lovely, Bo is finally coming out of her shell around us which was wonderful to see!🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

I’ll be doing a more detailed post but we also welcomed a lovely new team member, Loren, who will be taking over some walks from me on Fridays so that I can start taking a step back from the walking side of the business, to concentrate on other areas 🤫👀

Some of you have already met Loren but for those who haven’t you’re going to love her! I honestly couldn’t have found better! She’s already proved how experienced and amazing she is with the dogs so I’m just thrilled to have her here with RCK9🖤

🧡 M A R L E Y 🧡

You’ll all have to forgive me as I am SO behind on posting our pet sits.

Back in July, our lovely Iona did a pet sit for the sweetest little Cockerpoo, Marley. He’s just a baby (literally) so had all that adorable puppy energy!

This was his first time being without his family so everyone was nervous but after a few treats and cuddles, Marley was having the best time with his new bestie!

Iona took Marley on lovely long countryside walks and has lots of play time in the garden too!

🐾 Last weeks weekly round up 🐾

Another quiet week on social media for me but an absolutely manic one in real life.

We’ve had some really exciting things starting to happen at RCK9 which I can’t wait to fully share with you all.

I’m finally starting to feel a little bit better, and I’m so grateful I can start to try and get back to normal now!

I think all the dogs have definitely been grateful for the cooler weather last week, I even had a few occasions where I had to wear wellies and a coat again! All I can say is roll on autumn 🍂

Like I said, we’ve got some really exciting plans coming soon so keep your eyes peeled for some really big announcements coming soon 👀

Just a few of my favourite shots from last weeks walkies 🥹

Hi, I’m so sorry that it’s been radio silence for the last few weeks on my page. I have been very quiet on social media but extremely busy in real life. 😮‍💨

The first piece of big news is that we’ve sold our house again this time the buyers seem not to be stringing us along so hopefully we will actually move out this time 😂

The second thing to note most of my clients already know but unfortunately my health has taken quite a downward turn meaning I’ve had to put a lot of things on pause and concentrate on my health. I’m not fully ready to disclose what is going on with me at the moment, so for those of you, I’ve told please keep quiet, and for those who don’t know I am absolutely fine and I’m not going to drop dead so please don’t worry too much about me. 🖤

All Dog walking services will be continuing as normal, but I may have to make a changes depending on how my health is but right now I am well enough to continue as normal. Things like my neutrality classes I have had to put on a brief pause just so that I can concentrate on getting myself back to full strength but I am planning to return to these by October this year so please keep your eyes peeled for those 👀

And lastly, all pet sitting services done by Iona and Eve are continuing as normal so if you’ve a pet that booked in with us, don’t worry that is still going ahead as planned! 🐾

If you got to the end of this well done, it was a very long one so very big thank you to all my clients you are incredibly understanding people and I couldn’t continue to do the work I do without your understanding and compassion. ❤️
