🔥 OPEN AS NORMAL FOLLOWING FIRE

As some of you may have heard, there was a fire at our site on Sunday evening.

The fire started in a neighbouring field behind our property when a bonfire caught the hedge alight. It quickly spread across to our fields, display gardens and part of our rear sales patio.

Thanks to the fast reaction and genuinely amazing efforts of the Kent and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, the fire was brought under control. Thankfully, our store and all of our livestock remained safe.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to MC Contracting, the local farmer who helped prevent the fire from spreading further, as well as our amazing local staff who came in and helped during the incident.

While this avoidable incident has caused considerable damage to our property, it could have been so much worse, and we are choosing to focus on the positives.

💚 We are pleased to confirm that we are OPEN and trading as normal, with only minimal impact to your visit.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, offered help and shown their support. It really means a lot to us.

Next time you pop in to the Kent store you will be greeted with our latest attraction, a 2.7m high statue of a horse!!

We think it looks just like the white horse of Kent that we all see around the county and thought it would be an amazing addition to our store.

Did you know? The white horse of Kent features on the county’s flag, and has been taken on by the county council, the police and the university.

You'll also find it atop many of the county's famous oast houses.

The horse's first official use on the county's flag was in the 17th century, and it has more recently been adopted by other institutions in the area.

Marginal pond plants grow in the shallow edges of your pond, often in aquatic planting baskets.

They bring shape to the water edge and provide splashes of colour throughout the growing season.

💦 Pond Vac Season Is Here!

After a long winter, ponds collect sludge, leaves, and debris that can affect water quality. A good pond vacuum clean helps remove waste, improves clarity, and creates a healthier environment for fish and plants.

Now’s the perfect time to freshen up your pond and get it ready for spring! 🌿🐟
