Sutherland Vets

Mixed animal Practice in the Scottish Highlands

This fantastic insulated shed being built for us by S.D.Grant Joinery is going to be our kennel room! It will be a warm and peaceful place for animals to recover. We are so excited to see it finished!

We can’t wait to be able to open our small animal practice and hope to have news very soon, but in the meantime we are loving our large animal visits ☺️

Hello! As ever we have been busy… in addition to large animal visits, there has been lots of paperwork to do in order to open for small animals. We have attended various shows including the Lairg Crofter’s Show and Sutherland Show, and worked on the building!

We are very excited about our piped oxygen which has now been installed for use in anaesthetised patients.
And as you can see, Phillip has finished his beautiful reception desk! The top was purpose-made by Lonie Mackintosh in Brora.

We hope you will be able to come and see it in person soon 🙂

Phillip has been busy building and it’s starting to look a lot like a vet practice… 😆

Two different cats, two different ways to enjoy the hot weather! Who else’s pets have been loving the warmth?!

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you all so much for all the shares, reviews etc. I just wanted to let you all know that I will have limited availability until Monday as I am covering the emergency on call now for Sutherland Vets whilst Phillip and Veronika are away. I can still help folk local to golspie but can't venture too far incase I'm needed for a farm or equine emergency 🤍

It can be hard work being a vet but views like these always make our day!

Good morning everyone!
We want to show you all this beautiful sign that one of our clients has gifted to us, made locally at The Kraft Shed!

We have been very busy with farm and equine calls and working hard to get the small animal practice set up. We will be sure to share any news we have on opening as soon as we can.

As you can see, the dogs have been taking a much more relaxed approach to work!
