I know absolutely NO ONE wants to hear it yet (and I’m slightly afraid to even say it 😬), but… people are starting to book in for Christmas! 🎄🤶🏽

Well… Ozzy certainly kept me on my toes! 😂
He was VERY excitable, and let’s just say this groom was less pamper session and more full-body workout for me! 💪🏼😂

But we got there in the end, and just LOOK at him! 😍 He’s looking so handsome, fresh and all put together. 🥰🐶

I’ll be honest, I’ve been getting a little lazy with the social media posts lately 🙈… but I promise I haven’t been lazy in the salon! I’m still keeping very busy pampering all your gorgeous pooches, even if I’m not always managing to get their photos posted. 🐾❤️

Franklin came in for another puppy groom today, and what a little superstar he was! 🥰🐶🐾

It was clear to both his mummy and I that leaving him another 6 weeks between grooms would make his coat a little too much to manage, so we decided it was time for Franklin’s first full groom! ✂️🛁

We took everything nice and slowly, giving him plenty of encouragement, reassurance and, of course, LOTS of treats! 😂🍖

And honestly… Franklin did AMAZING! 🥰 He was such a good boy and handled his first proper groom like a little pro. He even fell asleep during his groom! 💙😴

Hopefully, as he gets older and experiences more grooms, he’ll become more comfortable with the whole process and each visit will get a little easier for him.

Well done, gorgeous boy! You should be very proud of yourself. 🥰🐾

We’re BACK from our holiday… and judging by the state of Mabel, I’m not sure she’s quite forgiven me yet, for leaving me with Daddy. I’m not sure what they were eating while I was away but it was all over her face and ears. 😂🐶✈️

So Mabel was straight into the salon for a well-needed freshen up, and let me tell you… she came out looking (and smelling!) much more respectable! 🛁✨🐾

It’s always funny when you spend your days making everyone else’s dogs look and feel amazing, only to realise your own dog is walking around looking like she’s been rescued from a bush! 🤣

The holidays may be over, but the pampering is very much back on at Mabel & the Mutts! 🐾💗

My last day in the salon today before we head off to the airport for some very much-needed rest after juggling these six weeks of summer holidays! ✈️☀️

I wouldn’t say I’ve managed it like a pro… I’d say I’ve survived more than thrived! 🤪😂

Today we had the handsome Dave and beautiful Lucy in for their teeth clean, bath and groom. They are both absolute angels to groom and, of course, they LOVE all the attention and treats! 🥰🐶🐾

Anyway, I’ll see you all in a week! 👋🏼

And while I’m away, Mr D has assured me that taking the kids away for a week means he’ll have my van finished and ready for me by the time I get back! 🤞🏼😂

I don’t want to jinx anything… but Mabel and the Mutts might just be hitting the road when I return! 🙏🏼🚐🐶🐾

I know I’ve been a bit quiet here of late, but navigating the summer holidays, having the kids off and running your own business is not for the faint of heart! 😂☀️

But be sure that Mabel and the Mutts have been fully operational. I’ve just been really relaxed with my posts, but I have been pampering some beautiful puppies. Not all I’ve managed to get photos of, but they have all left feeling fresh and clean. 🐶🐾

In other news my husband has assured me that the pub mobile will be completed by the end of this month.

So watch out for that exciting news.

Mabel is the whole reason I changed my career, trained hard, and became a qualified dog groomer. ❤️
