I'm so excited to be a part of Caninecheck! 🐶🫶

A new verification platform dedicated to vetting dog-centred businesses, helping make that decision of who to trust with your dogs that little bit easier.
It's still a work in progress at the moment, and I'm currently busy digging out certificates and getting all my information together! 😂
But once everything is set up properly, I really think this platform could be a huge asset for both myself and for dog owners looking for pet professionals.

Our dogs are part of the family, and trust is such a huge part of what I do. This platform aims to give owners access to the information they need to feel more confident when making that all-important decision of who to entrust with their best friends. 🐾

As always, a huge thank you to all my current and past clients for putting your trust in me. It honestly means the world! 🥹❤️

🐾 WELCOME TO CANINECHECK, ASHLEE! 💚

We’re delighted to welcome Ashlee from Bathward Bound Dog Grooming in Risca, South Wales, as our first Verified Dog Groomer! 🎉

With 11 years of experience, Ashlee knows just how important trust is when it comes to caring for people’s dogs.

After hearing about incidents involving poor grooming practices in her local area, Ashlee told us how the consequences had affected trust in responsible, professional groomers too.

And that’s one of the reasons she decided to join Caninecheck.

Ashlee wanted dog owners to have more than just her word when choosing who to trust with their dogs.

By having her qualifications, insurance and professional experience independently reviewed, she can now showcase her credentials in one place, helping local dog owners make more informed and confident decisions.

Because responsible professionals deserve to stand out, and dog owners deserve reassurance. 💚

We’re proud to have Ashlee joining our Verified Community and look forward to helping her showcase the professional she’s worked so hard to become!

Thank you believing in our vision and thank you for choosing to help us develop the platform further

Welcome aboard, Ashlee! 🐾

✨️ Clipping isn’t the only choice! ✨️

Handsome Henry has had a natural trim. 🐾

If you prefer a more natural look for your dog, clipping isn’t always necessary! As long as the coat isn't matted - there are other methods that can be just as effective at achieving a lovely, neat finish while keeping that natural outline. ✂️

After his bath and dry, I used a variety of tools to remove the loose undercoat that was ready to come out. I then tidied his outline with scissors — always a bit of a challenge when the hair grows in all different directions like Henry’s! 😅
Look at him waiting for him mum at the end 🫶

A tidy finish without losing that natural look. 💙

✂️ Meet the face behind the business 🐾

Hi everyone! I thought it was time to introduce myself again 😊

I'm Ashlee – groomer and business owner at Bathward Bound.

With 11 years of experience in the industry, my journey started with a work experience placement, which thankfully turned into an employed position.

Almost 3 years ago, I took the leap and became a business owner, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder of how far I’ve come. Running my own business has been such a rewarding journey, and I’m so grateful to every single person who has trusted me with their dogs..I honestly can't imagine doing anything else ❤️

When I’m not at work, I’m usually spending time with my fiancé, Will, our 15-year-old Jack Russell, Roxy, and tortoise Jellybean! 🐶🐢

And if you’re wondering what makes me tick outside of dogs… it’s pretty simple:

☕ Coffee (a necessity)
🍫 Chocolate (any and all 😂)
🎧 Podcasts (usually true crime)
🛋️ Cosy nights in (usually with Roxy on/near me😅)

I feel incredibly lucky to have turned my love of dogs into a career, and I can’t wait to continue meeting lots more of you and your gorgeous four-legged family members. 🐕💕

Thank you for supporting my small business! It really does mean the world. Every single booking, recommendation and returning client is appreciated beyond words. 🥰

Don't forget to follow me on Facebook, Instagram & Tiktok for updates, availability & some super cute dogs! Thank you 🤗
