Housekeeping

There has been a growing complacency.

Please can you double and triple check your contact number/email addresses upon booking. Any contact will be to the details given. There have been multiple occasions where people have incorrectly inputted their details and rather rudely blamed us.

There are 3 points of contact to every booking so 3 opportunities for any errors to be notified. These are all automatic - if you don't receive any one of these please say *at the time*.

1) Confirmation email
- sent at the time of booking.
2) A reminder by email AND
3) A reminder by text (does require a MOBILE number) including the access code
- Both sent 2 hours ahead of 50 minute slots and 1 hour before half hour slots.

If another person, such as your husband, will be attending the field with a different mobile it is YOUR responsibility to inform them of the code. Any failure to prepare them for the session is not our fault.

We also add urgent notices to the text to keep you in the loop day to day. Frustratingly, there have been numerous incidents where it is clear users haven't read it in full. Please do.

We know software isn't infallible however we have put in place multiple opportunities to catch any problems. All we ask is that you also do your bit. We do our best to assist with emergencies, however calls/emails sent 5 minutes into your slot may or may not be seen in time.

Also, we're disappointed to say there's been an uptick in the number of complaints about dog poo left in the field. We understand it has been poor weather lately but there's no excuse when we provide bags and bins to dispose of it within 50 metres. While you may shelter in the horsebox from the bad weather that is no reason to not catch sight of your dog pooing. Please make more of an effort to watch your dogs for the entirety of your slot! We do our checks but we cannot possibly cover the entirety of the field between slots or there won't be any open to you all. Please respect the Meadow and it's users or you will lose the privilege.

Ultimately the more time spent on admin/poo checks means less time spent adding new and exciting things to the Meadow of which there's multiple underway for 2026, our 5th year trading can you believe?!

We have had some more damage to the fencing over the last couple of weeks - some of these can only be caused by dogs jumping / chewing ?? We have made some temporary repairs and will be replacing the fencing in the next couple of weeks.

There have also been a lot of 💩not picked up - 7 when we were there yesterday early evening🤷‍♀️.

We know those that read this are probably not the culprits but if you do find damage to fencing can you please let Laura know so we can get in and have a look and arrange repairs.

We must had some crazy driving / parking going at the dog field !

First someone has driven into the new fencing and damaged it.

And then someone has managed to destroy one of the tyre planters .

The tunnel between the haybales has also been flattened but we assume that was a dog jumping / falling on it .

The fence and planter has been repaired and we will look to take the broken tunnel away as soon as we can get the bales moved to get it out.

If you do spot any damage please do let us know so we can get things repaired asap.

Advance warning for those that come to the field from Heacham - Road will be closed - 3rds - 5th September - it’s quite a detour (or you can come in via Hunstanton, Sedgeford or Docking as normal.

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (WTRO6065) affecting the C103 Ringstead Road from 175m north of its junction with U22202 Ringstead Road for 30m northwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Heacham to facilitate installation of a new water connection, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 3rd to 5th September 2025, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 17th October 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

Alternative route is via: Ringstead Road, Sedgeford Road, Heacham Road (Heacham, Sedgeford, Ringstead).

We have some new fencing around the carpark - with a new pedestrian gate in the corner - please use this gate - as we will be locking the big gate. If you need wheelchair access please let us know. There are white boards on the top of the fence - so no excuse for not seeing it and reversing into it 😉

Unfortunately the water is still not fixed they need to lay new pipes all the way from the farm - so we hoping this will be done during May. So please bring your own water until we advise it is fixed.

27/04/2025

We are closed W/C 28th April for essential maintenance.
You will be unable to book or use the field this week.

Sorry for any inconvenience
