Did you know that Paisley is the largest town in Scotland and has a rich history in weaving and cotton manufacturing. We are pleased to share that we have secured use of a studio in the Old Embroidery Mill initially one day a week. This will make it easier to meet with customers by appointment and to assist in our running of both promotions and small and larger events.

Why is the digestibility of fat in Husse products higher than in most other dog food?

Husse Super premium dog foods are all supplemented with lecithin. Lecithin is a natural product extracted from vegetable oils; it has very interes­ting properties. Lecithin has a chemical structure with special properties: one part binds to water (the hydrophilic part), and another part binds to oils (the lipophilic or hydrophobic part).
Due to these properties, lecithin acts as an emulsifier in the intestinal tract. This means that lecithin improves contact between the intestinal liquids and food fats. In fact, the micels (fat drops in the intestines) are smaller in the presence of lecithin, which results in a larger contact surface between fat and intestinal fluids. By adding lecithin to the diet, digestibility is improved, and dogs obtain more energy from the food. All Husse Super premium dog foods are supple­mented with lecithin for this reason.
