Please join us in welcoming our newest vet, Julie. We're delighted to introduce Julie to you all and we are so pleased to have her join our team.

Originally from France, Julie grew up in Malaysia before returning to the UK to complete her studies at the university of Nottingham, graduating in 2024.

Julie loves helping people care for their pets and working together to find the best plan for each individual animal. She's a real people person who enjoys building relationships with clients and their furry friends.

Outside of work, Julie loves exploring new places and surfing off the Cornish coast.

We look forward to you meeting her and welcoming her to the practices.

Meet brave little Evie! 🐾

Evie was an absolute superstar today during her dental procedure in St Ives. To make sure she stayed warm and cosy on her recovery, she got to wear one of our handmade knitted jumpers, made for our inpatients. Doesn't she look just adorable?

🐾 A closer look at laparoscopic spays 🐾

Meet Fern, who recently came to us for her laparoscopic spay.
Laparoscopic (keyhole) spaying is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional spaying. Using a camera and small incisions, our vets can perform the procedure with less disruption to the abdominal tissues, here’s our vet Emily in action with RVN Karina assisting.

For many dogs, the benefits can include smaller incisions, reduced tissue trauma and a more comfortable recovery. 🐶✨

Fern did brilliantly and was soon back home enjoying some well-earned rest! Every dog is different, and the most appropriate method of spaying will depend on their individual circumstances. If you're considering having your dog neutered, our veterinary team are always happy to talk you through the options and answer any questions.

A 6m old male Bedlington type dog, was brought in to us yesterday evening at Redruth. He was found in the Mount Hawke area wearing a harness but no lead. His microchip is not registered.

If you think he might be yours please contact us ASAP on 01209 214737. Proof of ownership will be required.

A very special goodbye… for now!

Today we’re wishing our lovely vet, Emily a very happy maternity leave!

After looking after so many of our wonderful patients and their families in Camborne, Emily is taking some well-deserved time away to embark on her most exciting adventure yet — becoming a mum! We’re going to miss her enormously, but we couldn’t be happier for her and wish her and her family all the best!

And at the same time, we’re delighted to introduce you to Jack!

He will be joining our veterinary team during Emily’s maternity leave and will be taking great care of our patients in her absence. We’re thrilled to have him on board, some of you may have already met him as he’s been with us for a few weeks now; he’s certainly got Bruce’s seal of approval!

So, while we say “see you soon” to Emily, we’re excited to welcome Jack to the practice!

Please join us in wishing Emily lots of love and luck for this wonderful new chapter, and give Jack a big WELCOME TO THE TEAM! 👋🏼🐶🐱🐰

Safe to say, we love dogs… 🐶❤️
And today, on International Dog Day, we’re celebrating all the wonderful dogs who bring so much joy, laughter and love into our lives.

From the energetic puppies discovering the world, to our golden oldies who have been by your side for years, every dog is special — and we feel incredibly lucky to care for them. 🐾

Thank you to all the wonderful dog owners who trust us with their four-legged family members. We love seeing their wagging tails, cheeky faces and (usually!) enthusiastic greetings when they visit us.
