Deposits & Payments
As of the 1st July there will now be a 50% Deposit to make Appointments with myself, this is due to the amount of no shows or last-minute cancellations being made. If you already have an appointment booked you will be contacted to make the payment of 50% to secure your booking. Deposits are to be made via BACs or coming into the Salon to Pay.
You are to pay for the remaining amount owed at the time of the appointment or can Pay in Full to keep the 50% Deposit for your next booking.
Punctuality
When coming for your appointment please be on time. Your appointment is your time and mine, if your late you are possibly causing your appointment to be cancelled or rescheduled. I only have a slotted amount of time for cross over between other dogs and you being late cuts into that. With this now for every 10 minutes, you are late an extra £5 will be added to your dog's grooming bill, unless I'm contacted as to why you are going to be late.
Cancellations
I respectfully request 48 hours' notice before your appointment to re arrange or cancel. This is so that slot can then rebooked out.
No Shows & Late Cancellations (less than 48 hours Notice)
A fee of 100% of your usual Groom price will be levied for missed appointments and late cancellations. A non-refundable deposit of the starting price of the groom will be levied to secure a new appointment slot. If you occur any of the above-mentioned fees, they are payable in full at the time of the missed or late cancellation and before booking your next appointment.
Neglected & Matted Coats
If your dog's coat needs to be clipped down from matting or coat neglect, Kaiah’s Kutz, its owner and operator are not liable for any post-grooming effects of this procedure, which is not without risk. If your dog comes into the salon with matting a matting fee will be charged on top of the grooming fee. This Price will start from £5 extra depending on the severity of the matting.
Any humane de-matting will be undertaken solely at my discretion, in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act of 2006 (clauses 5 – animals are to be protected from pain, injury and suffering). De-matting during a routine groom is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. For severely matted coats where de-matting isn't possible, the only humane way to deal with this is to completely clip the coat off.
Dogs Health &Welfare
Whilst your dog is in my care at the salon its health and welfare are my primary concern. Your dog will only ever be groomed according to its tolerance of the process. Occasionally during the grooming process, a pre-existing condition may be discovered which you may not have been aware of. I will notify you of this so that you may seek veterinary advice. If your pet is nervous, fearful or aggressive to the grooming process please make me aware of this so I can work with the dog and take my time with them. Although extremely unlikely, accidents can happen during the grooming process, in the event of an accident or serious medical issue arising you authorise me to give First Aid for emergency Treatment.
Photography/Videoing
Your Dog may be photographed or videoed before, during or after their groom. Any of that media may be used in or on Kaiah’s Kutz advertising or social media platforms. Please do let me know if you do not wish your dog to involved in any of the above as mentioned.
