🐾 A day in the life of Katie 🐾

What a wonderful start to the day with Dylan in Greenlands, who was excited to see me and proceeded to take us on one of our less usual adventures around Lodge Pool then it was back home for a well deserved drink of water.

Next it was over to Callow Hill to walk Daisy and pop in on her baby brother Dougie who both had lots and lots of energy today! Dougie had a bit of a run around and play time then it was off to do Daisy's proper walk. We took a long route round the Morton Stanley forest and she kept me on my toes as always chasing her ball. Then it was time to take her home and have some more puppy snuggles before carefully sneaking away to my next walk.

Then it was across to Foxlydiate to visit Lexi girl who really enjoyed her run around the local woods before we headed home. Her owner was in today so that was lovely to let him know how well she's been doing on her walks and how much myself and the whole team love her very much.

Finally it was back to Astwood Bank to see Bluey and Bingo who had a lovely walk down towards New End and back, which is one of their favourite routes. We caught the beginnings of the rain on the way back so we had lots of extra towel drying and goodbye fuss to end the day.

It was so lovely with my pups today - lots of energy and affection from all of them and we had fantastic fun together on all of the walks 🥰🐾

🐾 A day in the life of Katharine 🐾

The morning pick up started with hammering rain but by the time we were parking up and getting out of the van the clouds were parting and the sun was peeping out!

My first walk had my usual Tuesday morning gang, Pippa, Alfie, Lola, Watson and Lily and Maisie with the added bonus of Reggie! Reggie is a Friday dog but he sometimes has an extra walk on a Tuesday and the pack were very pleased to see him!

After dropping them all back it was off to Alcester to get my next walk, starting with Bruno, followed by Sadie and Lexi, Nala and Peggy. This gang leaps out of the van and gets straight to it, running around and having a blast!

After a good run and a quick shampoo for Nala for rolling in a fox poo it was home time and then off to a training client.

This afternoon’s session was with a very sweet pup called Pippa. She is fairly new to her family and in the two weeks since I have seen her she has come so far! Today we were working on some loose lead walking and what to do when she gets distracted by her environment.

After another lovely session it was straight home for me to hitch up the horse trailer to the truck and go over to Malvern to pick up my horse from the hospital. It’s so good to have him home and Bailey, his field mate, was especially glad to see him!

Phew!! What a day! Wine, anyone?

So, judging by the lack of interest in these babies, it looks like they might be our "undateables" 😭

Of course, we don't feel that way about them at all, but after being posted multiple times without any enquiries, we're starting to think they may feel that way themselves 😩.

First up, we have Bella ❤️

After being found as a stray and recently raising her babies (who have all now gone off to their new homes), Bella has been left behind and is now ready to find a safe, warm place she can finally call her own.

She can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but once she settles in, she really enjoys company, gentle fuss, and even the occasional cuddle or hug.

Bella would love a patient home where she can take things at her own pace and build trust in her own time. She is currently in foster with another cat and a calm dog, both of whom bring out the best in her, so she could happily live with calm animal companions.

🔹 Bella would probably be best suited to a home with older children and less hustle and bustle.

🔹 She is VERY chatty - she always has something to say 🗣️

Next, we have Ella ❤️

Ella is a beautiful 4-year-old Doberman looking for a loving and understanding new home.

She is an incredibly affectionate girl and fantastic with children, but due to a lack of socialisation earlier in life, she can be nervous and unsure in new situations. Because of this, she can sometimes show lead reactivity towards other dogs, although this is something currently being worked on.

Ella currently lives with two dogs and a cat, so she is capable of living alongside other animals. However, any introductions would need to be done slowly and carefully by an experienced owner.

Deep down, she is a sweet, loving girl who just needs someone willing to invest time, patience, training, and confidence-building into helping her flourish. We truly believe that in the right home she will continue to come out of her shell and thrive ❤️

🏡 Experienced home needed

🐶 Slow introductions with other animals

👧 Very loving and friendly with children

🐱 Currently lives with dogs and a cat

❤️ Nervous but affectionate girl

And finally, we have Lola ❤️

Our lovely Lola is another gorgeous girl who keeps getting overlooked.

Lola has spent her whole life having litter after litter and now finally deserves a forever family who will make her the centre of attention and give her the love she has missed out on.

Because of her background living in a kennel environment with limited socialisation, we feel Lola would be happiest as the only pet in the home. However, she is not lead reactive and is more than happy to pass other dogs with a waggy tail.

She is an absolute sweetheart who simply wants to cuddle every person she meets.

Lola is now 6 years old, and it honestly breaks our hearts that she is still waiting with no interest shown in her.

If any of our gorgeous girls have stolen your heart, please do drop us a message.

We also have lots of other cats and kittens currently looking for their forever homes too, here are just a few of them 💗

🐾 A day in the life of Jess 🐾

I know I always comment on the weather with my write-ups, but honestly, how can I not? 🙈 Today started with a coat, wellies, and getting soaked to the skin, and ended in a T-shirt and Crocs with the sun out - the weather has no consistency at the moment 😂.

My morning started with newly formed besties Norah and Ryder, who spent the whole walk wrestling, my little shadow Toby, who trotted behind me being the perfect boy. Despite the rain, he had a happy little smile on his face, and Barks, Rocky, and Beau, who spent their whole walk racing up and down until they were drenched but successfully worn out 🙌🏼

Next up I had my crazy crew, Betty, Klaus, Belle, and Paddy, and my more chilled vibes from Maple and Max. Thankfully, the weather had started to brighten up at this point, and Betty, Belle, and Klaus spent the walk ploughing around the field at full pelt, with Paddy in tow chasing after them. Max and Maple took a much calmer approach to the walk, staying close to my heels, which I am never complaining about 🥰.

My final walk of the day was my afternoon gang, Madonna, Bailey, Reggie, and Doug, who spent the whole walk racing through the grass. I just love watching them! Especially Bailey and Doug, as they have the funniest friendship, just bouncing off each other! My little fluffies, Teddy and Jessie, were also non-stop playing their own game of "catch me if you can". Whoever is in the front always has the biggest smile on their face 🥹

Writing this, the sun is shining. Let's hope tomorrow is a drier day 🙏🏼💗

Unfortunately we received some sad news that Benji went over the rainbow bridge this week 😢🌈

Benji was the sweetest soul and such a lovely boy, loved by many of the walkers. Benji loved his walkies every week with us, loving a stroll around the field with his friends and brother Rio. He would be waiting for Kim in his sofa, once his collar, harness and lead was on, he was ready for his adventures!

I’m going to miss you so much Benji but I know you’re looking down on us making sure we’re looking after your little brother Rio. Sending lots of love to your family as I know they are upset that you’re up in doggy heaven 😢

Love you Benji 💙

🌍 World Environment Day 🌍

As dog walkers, we spend every day out enjoying local parks, fields and countryside with your pups, so looking after the environment is really important to us 💚🐾

We know no business is perfect, but we always try to make small choices that have a positive impact where we can, including:

🐶 Using biodegradable poo bags
🚗 Planning our walking routes carefully to reduce unnecessary car journeys and mileage
♻️ Recycling waste wherever possible
🌿 Respecting local wildlife and keeping our walking spots clean and tidy
💧 Reusing water bowls and equipment rather than disposable items

It might seem small, but we believe little changes add up over time ✨

Thank you to all our lovely clients who help us keep our local walking spots clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone, dogs, people and wildlife included 🐕🌎

🐾 A Day in the Life of Grace – As Told by the Dogs 🐾

8:15am – Nuni

The day begins with Nuni, who greets me as though I’ve returned from a year-long expedition rather than arriving at my usual time. We spend thirty minutes discussing important matters such as squirrel sightings, suspicious leaves and whether every blade of grass in Redditch requires a thorough sniff.

8.55am – Sam

Sam is delighted to see me and immediately takes charge of the route planning. My suggestions are politely ignored. Sam’s mission today appears to be finding the perfect blade of grass, although seventeen “perfect blades” are rejected before the walk ends.

9:30am – Arlo & Nala

Arlo and Nala are essentially a comedy duo. One is investigating something fascinating in a hedge while the other is busy making sure nobody misses the fact that they’re having the best day ever. Together they provide a full hour of entertainment and keep me laughing from start to finish.

10.45am – Bailey

Bailey approaches every walk with the enthusiasm of someone who’s just won the lottery. Every puddle, every path and every passing human is a potential new best friend. Bailey’s happiness is wonderfully contagious.

11.50am – Juno

Juno joins me for this adventure. Juno has mastered the art of looking incredibly innocent while secretly being responsible for at least 80% of the mischief on the walk. Little Miss Whizzy span me in circles before heading home for some treats.

12.30pm - Milo&Luna

Milo and Luna arrive like a tiny four-legged whirlwind. One moment they’re walking perfectly, the next they’re convinced a squirrel 200 metres away is the most important thing in the universe and they just need to tell it!

1.15pm - Larry

Larry is an absolute gentleman. Larry likes a good walk, a good sniff and a good life. Frankly, Larry has life figured out better than most humans and how to make sure he gets all the treats in my pocket!

2.00pm – Millie

Millie gets the premium afternoon slot. We head off for a full hour together, during which Millie checks every bush, greets every person and somehow manages to look adorable the entire time.

3.30pm – River

River finishes the afternoon shift with style. River’s job appears to be ensuring I never become overconfident by occasionally stopping dead for reasons known only to River.

4.15pm – Nuni (Round Two)

Back to Nuni. The reaction suggests we’ve been separated for several decades. We revisit the important sniffing locations from this morning to ensure nothing has changed in the last eight hours.

5.00pm – Home Time

I return home believing my work is done.

Brooke, Cheddar and Wallace disagree.

Brooke wants to know where I’ve been all day.

Cheddar demands a full report on every dog I met.

Wallace looks at me as if I’ve betrayed him by spending time with anyone other than him.

I apologise and provide snacks.

Peace is restored.
