Visiting the vets can be very stressful for cats 🐈
Transporting them in a carrier is the safest option, but it can also feel a little overwhelming.
Make the carrier a safe space, not a window to the world!
💡 Cover the carrier with a lightweight blanket to help block out the elements and create a calmer, more secure journey.
💡 Add a familiar smell from home using their blankets or toys to the carrier, creating that extra comfort.
💡Spray a cat-friendly pheromone product onto the bedding before travelling, following the product instructions.
💡 Leave the carrier out at home with the door open so your cat can explore it at their own pace. Add familiar bedding or treats to make it feel inviting.
💡 Use a sturdy, well-ventilated carrier that is large enough for your cat to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably.
