Groomology closes its doors for the final time today 4th September 2026
Today is a very sad day for me, after 11 years after opening Groomology I close the door for the final time.
I have decided to take early retirement to start some new adventures.

It has been an absolute honour to have groomed your dogs and I will miss them dearly. I will miss you, their owners too, over the years I have got to know you and your dog, built up some lovely relationships and friendships.

I really appreciate you supporting my business and staying loyal to me over the years. It means a lot. Some of you have been with me since day one and I’ve seen your dog grow from a young puppy into a senior adult dog. I’ve also seen some of you through engagement, marriage, babies and so much more.

Thank you to you all, I will miss you more than you know. Please keep in touch I would love to hear how you are getting on.

I’m off to have a bit of a cry now 😍xx

☀️ Heatwave warning! ☀️

As we head towards the heatwave, I wanted to remind everyone to be very careful with their pets! Please avoid walking them in this heat, and DO NOT walk them to their appointment with me! If you have no transport to the salon, please let me know and I will reschedule your dog's appointment).

I will be keeping a very close eye on the temperature every day, and if I deem the salon temperature to be too hot even with the air conditioning I will reschedule appointments. While I'm able to keep the salon relatively cool with the air conditioning the temperature and humidity can climb very quickly due to my dryers. This is not good for me or the dogs.

Keeping your dogs safe is my top priority. ❤️

It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to Holly the border terrier yesterday. Holly was an elderly lady with a few medical issues but a lovely gentle sole.
My thoughts are with her family who are truly heartbroken 💔 and I will miss her dearly at Groomology. Run free baby girl. It was always a pleasure seeing you. Xx

Leading up to Christmas is always a busy time of year at Groomology and working every day 8am to 6pm it is frustrating when people do not turn up for their appointment. I have had 4 no shows in the last week! 2 of these have been 8am appointments which are difficult to fill from my cancellation list.
If you do not show up on the day of the appointment you will be charged the full cost of the groom and risk not getting back in for a couple of months.

Please also don’t forget to confirm the appointment offered. If I don’t hear from you within 48 hours the appointment will be offered out to someone else.

There are no appointments available now before Christmas and January is filling up fast.
Please, if you cannot make your appointment, please let me know. Not showing up twice unfortunately you will be removed from my books.

Just to remind you Groomology will not be open on Mondays from 2026 so there will be less appointments available per week going forward.

Some lovely flowers from a client for my up and coming 60th birthday on Thursday. Did I say 60? Blimey I am old! 🤣🤣🤣 thank you Jason and Michelle , very kind and thoughtful of you both. Hope you had a lovely 50th Jason and enjoy your well deserved holiday. See you soon x
