Once again, I put my brave pants on and went riding for the second time since my new hip 🐴😃 The first time my goal was to be brave enough to canter 👍 mission accomplished. Stupidly, I mentioned that next time I would jump the little log in the woods 🙈 However the first time we rode, it was back in the summer at 30° and Teddy, my wonderful Steed, was very chilled. Yesterday we decided to get mounted and go on a hack the minute the heavens opened 🌧️🙈 questioning my life choices we decided to continue; Teddy feeling the rain on his back and the freshness in the air was a totally different Horse this time jogging along and loving life 🐴🥰 but he was his amazing self and looked after me. We had some amazing canters and lots of fun in the woods where we were sheltered by the trees. I was thinking to myself if I keep quiet 🤫 Steph will probably have forgotten the challenge I had set myself last time for my next ride “to jump a small log” . BUT Oh no, not Steph ! She had great pleasure in reminding me 😁 For those of you who know me, I’m not one to back down from a challenge, so I was taken to the dreaded log 🪵 🤣 Now some may say it’s the tiniest log in the world and the horse hardly left the ground 😂 but to me it was like facing the puissance wall (okay slight over exaggeration) but it’s been many many years since I left the ground, and I did it 💪 no matter how small it was i’m still very proud of myself and looking forward to my next challenge.
What could it be next ?🥰
A huge thank you to Steph for arranging everything and to both Debbie and Steph for such a lovely time yesterday and of course to the wonderful Teddy who looked after me once again 🐴🥰❤️

She can’t wait to wear them. Thank you, Jess for your order and supporting Ready Rugs.

I did it 👏🏇After listening to all my wonderful customers encouraging me to ride again, Yesterday afternoon I put my brave pants on and did it 💪 I went for a lovely hack with my good friend Steph. Enjoyed myself is an understatement 🥰 I even had a few canters. After riding in pain for years and feeling like I’d lost my nerve I finally got a new hip and declared I’d given up riding for good. But working at Ready Rugs and listening to all your wonderful stories stirred something inside me that only horsey people understand. I am so happy, I was completely pain-free whilst riding and this morning I’m not even feeling too Saddle sore (yet😁)
Thank you so much for everyone’s encouragement I couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to my good friend Steph, and of course the wonderful Teddy for looking after me yesterday.
I’m already planning my next ride where I have set the challenge to jump a small log in the woods 😀
