Penny came to us for a patella luxation repair with Edric at .

She is now 6 weeks post-op, weight bearing well, and, as you can see, has managed her recovery with considerable style.

We’re told she has been very dedicated to her rehabilitation programme, which has involved fresh air, treats, and supervised socialising from the safety of a leopard print buggy.

Textbook, really.

What a day. Friday already feels like a long time ago.

A huge thank you to our brilliant speakers, Duncan Barnes, Andy Craig, Andrew Phillips, Gerard McLaughlin, Anastasia Papastefanou, Sam Thompson and Lizzie Oselton. You made the day what it was.

It’s a full day of veterinary CPD at West Court Retreat, with sessions covering orthopaedics, soft tissue, nursing, anaesthesia and CPR.

We’re excited to be here with the veterinary community, talking about mobility, orthotic support and how WIMBA devices can help patients move more comfortably in daily life. 🦾

A four-month-old kitten presented to Mulberry House Vets with a spiral fracture of the right distal tibia.

Pre-operative radiographs were used to plan the repair carefully, as the distal fragment was very small. Dan stabilised the fracture using orthogonally placed locking plates, allowing maximal screw purchase within the distal segment while maintaining stable fixation.

This configuration also allowed preservation of the distal tibial physis, which is particularly important in a young, growing patient.

Edric has returned to Malawi with for another period of volunteering.

While he’s there, he’ll be working alongside local veterinary teams and students, sharing surgical experience and helping to build confidence in the next generation of vets.

A big thank you to everyone who helped Edric head out with equipment and supplies, your support really does make a difference and helps make trips like this possible.

And even while amputating a rabbit’s hind leg, he’s still representing ProVetSurg in his scrub top. 🐾🌍

This 18-month-old domestic shorthair was seen by Christos at St Kitts Vet Group this week following an RTA, with multiple pelvic fractures including oblique fractures of the ileum, ischium, and p***s. Christos repaired the fractures with lag screws and stablised them with neutralisation plates 💪🐾

We send our best wishes to this brave patient for a smooth recovery! It has been a busy week with emergency trauma cases, but we’re always available to support your practice. If you require a fracture repair, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we keep trauma slots reserved for urgent cases.
