In all seriousness, I am off for one week but I am delivering these two beautiful cats to their forever home. I’ll be spending sometime settling them in. I guess this is the definition of a ‘busman’s holiday!’

Sufi would like to remind everyone to please check for hedgehogs and other wildlife before lighting a bonfire. She was one of those unfortunate ones that was sleeping in one and got burnt. Fortunately she made a full recovery and went back out again. Many other hedgehogs aren’t that lucky.

Please don’t let your bonfire be a cause of death for a hedgehog who is just doing what they’re meant to be doing - sleep in a cosy place. Build the bonfire on the day to prevent wildlife from moving into it overnight. If you have already built one re-site it before lighting.
