What a day at Royal Jump!
Dennis produced an incredible round in the CCI1*, jumping clear across the cross country and finishing comfortably inside the time to stay on our dressage score of 31.6 and secure 5th place.
For a horse making the transition from showjumping into eventing, performances like this are hugely rewarding. He felt brave, confident and completely committed from start to finish, giving me a fantastic ride around a demanding international track.
It has also been a real privilege to work alongside the Hong Kong Jockey Club team this week and see first hand the professionalism, care and attention to detail that goes into their programme. We benefited enormously from their championship experience, particularly in managing horses in the challenging heat conditions.
A huge thank you to Ruth and Ron, Dennis’s owners, for their support throughout this journey. It was great to have them here this week to share the experience and see Dennis perform so well on the international stage.
Royal Jump has been an incredible experience from start to finish. A truly international event with fantastic facilities, great organisation and competitors from around the world. We leave France with plenty of confidence, a top five finish and lots of excitement for what lies ahead with Dennis. A fantastic result and another exciting step forward in Dennis’s eventing career. 🐎🇫🇷
