Keeping the Guinea Piggy’s Cool 🐹☀️💕

Last week’s heatwave was extremely hot, but I still travelled out in the middle of the day to visit these beautiful guinea piggy’s again. 🐹❤️

With temperatures soaring, I made sure they had everything they needed to stay cool, comfortable and happy. I used cold water bottles, special cooling mats, lovely cold damp clothes and, of course, prepared them a lovely, fresh and refreshing brunch. 🥬🥒🍎❄️

Their wellbeing is always my priority, especially during extreme weather, so I made sure they were kept as cool and comfortable as possible throughout my visit. 🐹💕

I was also asked by the family if I could water some of their plants while I was there — and of course, I was more than happy to help! 🌱💦 It was so lovely to see their beautiful sunflower opening up and beginning to blossom. 🌻

Another lovely visit with my gorgeous little guinea piggy friends, making sure they were happy, healthy, hydrated and well cared for during the heatwave. 🐹☀️❤️

Furries Paws & Claws — caring for your furry family like they’re my own. 🐾💕

As another week comes to an end, here’s a little look at what we’ve been up to! 🐹💚

It was lovely to spend time with these adorable guinea pigs again. They enjoyed plenty of care, clean bedding, fresh food and water, lots of attention, and extra measures to keep them cool during the extreme heatwave.

As always, their family received regular updates and photos for peace of mind while they were away. They also asked at the last minute if I could water their plants too—of course I was happy to help! It’s the little extras that can make all the difference.

There’s nothing better than knowing both pets and their owners are happy. I’m so grateful to have been trusted to care for these wonderful furry friends. Thank you for choosing Paws And Claws!🐾❤️

This week we’ve experienced a massive heatwave, and during the red weather warning I was contacted to help look after some furry family babies. Their owner needed someone to drop in and make sure they were safe and comfortable in the extreme heat, and I was more than happy to help this lovely lady out.

From spot cleaning, administrating medication, refreshing cold water, cool mats and cold food, providing enrichment, and even having full-on conversations with the three furry babies, it has been an absolute pleasure caring for them. 🐾❤️

I can’t wait to see them all again very soon! xx

“While working and studying at college, I gained extensive knowledge of farm animals and their welfare, ensuring that their welfare needs were met to a very high standard of care.”

Yes, I worked on a farm, and it was an amazing experience. From caring for livestock and ensuring high standards of animal welfare to fixing and painting gates, delivering machinery, and going on tractors and pickups, every day brought something different. I even had the opportunity to drive on private land. These are just some of the things I got up to while working hard on the farm, developing practical skills, responsibility, and a strong work ethic along the way.
