Nixxi came to us with a severe lameness due to a digital corn - a common ailment affecting former racing greyhounds. We performed a flexor tendonectomy to alter the angle of contact with the pad a few weeks ago. Now Nixxi is weight bearing with comfort and we are pleased to see the corn has fallen off. Happy doggy, happy owners and happy vet!

Introducing our vet student! She’ll be working with us all week:

“Hi, I’m Natasha 🐾 I’m 22 and going into my 4th year studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liverpool, after going to secondary school locally. I’m currently interested in small animal emergency/locum work and hopefully working in Australia one day! 🌏🐶

Alongside vet life, I love dancing, surfing and being in the sun ☀️💃🌊 and my favourite animals are turtles! 🐢💚

Cutest patient of the day…. poor Rosemary broke her leg. She’s all comfortable now, and soon to be treated by our visiting specialist orthopaedic surgeon. She was very brave, but got plenty of cuddles from the Harrisons team!

A beautiful black female Scottish Fold-type cat has been brought to us by a member of the public after being found near Reading Cemetery.

Unfortunately, she is not microchipped, so we have been unable to trace her owner.

If this lovely girl belongs to you, please contact us as soon as possible on 0118 338 8988 or email us on [email protected].

If she remains unclaimed by Friday 19th June, we will begin the process of finding her a loving new home. 🩷

Please help us reunite her with her family by sharing this post. 🐾

We have just had a very sweet tortoiseshell+white, young female cat brought in by one of our lovely clients who saw her have a bit of an accident. She is safe and comfortable with us (and tucking in to some brunch!), but we'd really love to find her owners and get her back home ASAP!
