At the end of 2024 Orchidhouse decided to make some room to rescue a cat. Sadly we lost our beloved Jazzie and Lumin from cancer at the beginning of the year so we had space. We decided on a black kitten. Black cats are often left behind in rescues so we did some research and made some enquiries and in October we took in a tiny 6 week old male kitten who we called Jinx.

He is now 4 months old and is thriving. The bengals girls adopted him immediately and he was settled with us in about 48 hours. He is very happy we are delighted to be able to show him as a household pet with TICA this year.

His registered show name is: Jinx Janx Jonx of Orchidhouse, so do look out for him!

We're delighted to welcome the brilliant author and cat behaviourist, Celia Haddon.

Celia Haddon has written many books about cats – some of them funny, some of them serious. Her latest book is 'Being Your Cat' is a serious dive into how cats experience life so differently from humans.

Celia became interested in cats when she was the pet agony aunt of the Daily Telegraph. After retirement she did a degree in applied animal behaviour, followed by a Masters degree in Clinical Animal behaviour at Lincoln University completed at the age of 73!
