Look at this beautiful girl and her big bro, who I met this week! 🥰🐾🐾

She’s super sweet, very clever and soooo calm too! 💛
We’re going through all things puppy and adolescence, helping them navigate all the fun (and sometimes slightly challenging 😂) bits that come with it!

Can’t wait to catch up with them again and see how they’re all getting on! ☺️🐾

This gorgeous fella can find the outside world a little bit scary, so we’ve been working with him and his lovely family to better understand his behaviour and help him feel more confident and comfortable when out and about 💛🐾

Understanding why a dog behaves the way they do is such an important part of helping them. Rather than expecting him to simply cope with things he finds worrying, we’ve been looking at what he needs, giving him the space and support to feel safer, and working at a pace that’s right for him ☺️

We started by looking at his behaviour on lead and doing some loose lead walking training, and as you can see, he absolutely nailed it! 👏🥰

We then moved on to lots of distance work, allowing him to observe things he may find challenging from a distance where he was still able to feel comfortable and make good choices. From there, we gradually progressed onto some street walking too.
And he really aced it all! 🥳👏✨

It was so lovely to see him coping so well and growing in confidence. His family have done an amazing job supporting him and taking the time to understand what he needs 💛
Huge well done, guys! ⭐️🐾 I’m really looking forward to catching up soon and hearing how you’re all getting on! ☺️

This gorgeous fella absolutely aced his session this week! 🥳👏🥰

We’ve been helping him and his lovely family since they rescued him around three months ago 💛
He’s had a lot to adjust to in that time, from going into rescue kennels, to finding himself in a completely new home and navigating adolescence too!

It’s understandable that there have been a few ups and downs while he’s been figuring out his new life and learning how to cope with the world around him.

His family have been truly incredible though! ☺️ They’ve persevered, been patient, and, most importantly, taken the time to really understand the why’s behind his behaviours and the best ways to support him.
When working with dogs who find certain things difficult, it’s so important that we listen to what they’re telling us. Giving them the space they need, working at a distance where they can cope, and progressing at their pace can make such a difference. Training isn’t about pushing a dog through something they find overwhelming, it’s about building their confidence and helping them feel safer and more comfortable. 💛
And this week, he truly did us all proud! 🥹👏

At various distances, he was able to cope and disengage from his triggers like a pro! We then took the training onto the streets too, gradually introducing a more challenging environment, and again, he coped so incredibly well👏🥰

Huge, HUGE well done to you all! ✨⭐️ The patience, consistency and understanding you’ve given him are really shining through, and you should all be so proud! 💛☺️👏

It was so lovely chatting with both new faces and some familiar ones too, and meeting some of your beautiful pooches made my day 💛🐾
