A special post for the most special little lady

Meet Frankie-Rose, she is 8 years old and is a wonderful friend of the boss River

The little brave girl in these pictures was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital after doctors discovered a brain tumor.
This was completely out of the blue and something no one could have imagined. Frankie-Rose had a major operation to remove the tumor, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. During her recovery she had the love and help from the amazing therapy dogs at GOSH, these dogs always made Frankie happy and gave her so much comfort.

Around eight weeks ago, Frankie had an MRI scan which showed something the doctors weren’t certain about. Rather than jump to conclusions, they arranged another MRI to allow time for any changes to develop and give them a clearer picture of what was happening.

Sadly, the latest scan has confirmed that it is another tumour, and devastatingly, it has doubled in size in the eight weeks between the two scans.

After everything Frankie-Rose has already been through, this is news no family should ever have to face. She has endured so much, from surgery and intensive chemotherapy to proton therapy, and we had been hoping so desperately that we could begin to look towards a brighter future. We are still hoping and praying that Frankie-Rose will be a little miracle and get through this.

Tomorrow little Frankie once again will undergo major brain surgery for the second time followed by a further five rounds of radiotherapy.
