Bruce is a young goofy high energy dog but knowing how to behave around livestock and novel animals is a must have skill!
From day one Bruce has had lots of exposure to animals with us in calm and controlled manner. We have encouraged calm and neutral behaviours and trained on and off of the lead in controlled environments.
We haven’t just trained to be confident around animals we have prioritised neutrality to them. We did this by spending full training sessions around them and the animals not being the focus but rather the focus being the handler and the task the dog has been asked to perform whether this be holding a down stay or a handler focused heel.
