Super day at Godmanchester DTC, ably assisted by Maia and her hoomin, Diane 🤭
Rioja’s first graded class in an official RKC class and I was so chuffed she weaved all 12 poles 🙌
Thank you to Diane for videoing, I now see why certain things are happening and can work to fix them🤞
Zenii returned to the agility scene with 2 grade 3 runs, after her maternity leave and blew me away with how good she felt and loving it 🥰
A 5 fault for the dog walk saw us in an unofficial 3rd place, and a stupid elimination that was totally my fault - but she was awesome and I can’t ask more of her than that ☺️

This week our competing members have been exploring ALL the options 🤩 we used this setup from OneMind Dogs to look at leading leg changes and how a decision in one place affects the way the next part runs 🤓 a fun challenge for all!

Jacq & Monty ❤️
Our special guest was Monty the 4mo Border Collie. Whilst he’s still growing, we aren’t encouraging jumping or climbing or quick changes of direction. At this age, we are just looking to build confidence and a strong rapport, so this was a brilliant opportunity for Monty to practice some tricks he knows in a new place and in front of an audience. Hopefully, this will lay strong foundations for a successful agility career in the future.

Rhys & Lulu 🩷
Lulu is a 7yo Border Collie and she ran with Rhys for the first time at the Mayor's Show. Lulu is usually handled by Jacq, a long-standing and treasured member of the club. As a very knowledgeable and experienced handler, Rhys gave Lulu lots of encouragement to help her stay motivated and focused.

Gail & Zenii 💛
After years of owning Collies, Gail fancied trying a different breed, and Zenii has blown her away with her cleverness - this 6yo Cockapoo loves to learn tricks and always tries so hard. Zenii has had lots of success competing in hoopers, making the Novice Championship Final, and is raring to get back to competing following maternity leave. Gail loves to see the joy Zenii gets from agility with her yips of excitement.

Sarah & Billie 💙
Sarah started off as an agility Mum and eventually commenced her own agility journey with Billie, her 6yo Cocker Spaniel. Sarah says she most enjoys seeing how much Billie loves it and the bond they have developed from training and competing together.
