🐾 Bertie and Buddy! 🐾

Bertie is such a character who always keeps me on my toes! He has a very expressive personality and definitely likes to make his opinions known. 😂

He comes into the salon full of excitement, wagging his tail and jumping up to say hello. Then he can become a little more vocal and likes to test the boundaries — especially when it comes to deciding where he would like everyone to stand and even look 🫣

The actual groom is never the problem. Bertie is very good for his grooming, and although he would once rather I didn’t touch his face, he has improved so much over the years. I’m really proud of the progress he has made. 🤍

Berty is also very clever and knows exactly how to get attention. He certainly keeps me entertained with his cheeky ways and strong personality!

Bertie has a lovely brother, Buddy, who is just the sweetest boy. Buddy is gentle, affectionate and very well behaved — although Buddy definitely likes to boss him around a little! 😂 Despite this, they are a lovely pair and clearly share a very special bond. 🤍

Poor Lilly 🥺💗 Feeling very sorry for herself at the moment! First, she had some teeth out at the vets, then just a week later, it was time for her groom 🐾✂️

I think this little lady deserves a break from all her appointments! 😂💕 Hopefully, she can enjoy a few months of peace and pampering herself at home before we see her again! 🐶💖

Molly is quite the character!
This little girl is absolutely full of energy, and she can never quite stay still! 😂
This can sometimes be a challenge when I’m grooming her, but she’s just so full of excitement and enthusiasm that I can’t help but admire her,
She genuinely makes me smile every time she comes in. 🤍

Last year, Molly suddenly became very unhappy about me going near one of her back legs, which was unusual because she’s normally so good for her groom. I was confused as to why she had suddenly become so sensitive.

Then I noticed her leg was a little clicky, I informed Mollys owners who was concerned and that we would agree I keep an close eye on this however the issue continues, then a few weeks later I was informed by Molls owners that Molly had torn ligament and would need surgery on her back leg, resulting in her having a metal plate fitted.

She would need to be very careful during her recovery… although if you know Molly, you’ll know that “taking it easy” was never really part of her plan! 😂

Once she had made a full recovery, Molly was straight back to her usual self — jumping, spinning and generally doing EVERYTHING except staying still! 🫣😂

So I had to adapt the way I groom Molly,
Molly moves. That’s what Molly does. And I’ve come to accept that she probably always will! 😂

So now we’ve introduced a sling into Molly’s groom. It helps restrict her movement when I need to safely work on her legs, and thankfully, Molly doesn’t seem to mind her new little apparatus at all.

Her resilience is incredibly large for such a small girl. 🥹🤍

we love drying him cause we just hold him under the stand dryers and have a little cuddle so he don’t blow away 😅

Ella is by far the smallest yet BIGGEST diva I have ever met! 😂
She demands my FULL attention absolutely no one and I mean NO ONE! must get in the way when Ella is in the salon only her- this is what she is paying for and what she expects so people be aware not to interfere with Ella’s groom ,

She has the most adorable little face, and actually does really well for her groom…

HOWEVER… 😬

Ella has back dew claws, and if I so much as look in the direction of said dew claws, well… let’s just say it’s not pretty! 😂

That sweet little face suddenly disappears and our adorable Ella evolves into an ANGRY LITTLE DIVA! 👹🫣

Her owners are very much aware of her diva ways and have even put this on her personalised harness 😂 They completely understand and respect that for both our safety, Ella needs to be muzzled and secured in a harness when we’re dealing with her back claws, Is Ella best please with this arrangement absolutely not! but
We get the job done! 👍✂️
(Ella has her muzzle on for all of 60s btw I’m quick I’m certainly not messing around 😅)
Once her muzzle is off,
the transformation happens all over again… the diva disappears, and sweet little Ella returns 😇 where she is greeted with lots of cuddles & praise…

Aka Honey, Maisie & Bert 🤍

I’ve known the Norris family for a long time — long before I became a dog groomer — and they have been so supportive of me while I’ve built up Best of Buddies. 🥰

They are such a lovely family who absolutely adore their Border Terriers, and what BIG characters they all are! Each one is completely different. 😂

Bert is the only boy and the oldest also the biggest of the three, and he is very protective of his girls. 🥹 The girls, however, know this all too well and will use it to their advantage by causing just about as much mischief as they possibly can! 😂

When all three get going, it’s like having our very own little wolf pack in the salon! 🐺🤣 They share such a tight bond and always make for a crazy morning.

And when it comes to having their haircuts, they are just perfect! 🤩✂️

I absolutely love having these three in the salon — they certainly bring plenty of personality with them! 🤍🐾

I really do like this little guy! He’s absolutely full of love, and how adorable is he 🥹

Rudeus has been coming to best of buddies for as long as I’ve been open, so he’s very much one of our original little customers. 🥰

When i first met Rudeus, he was a little shy and unsure of the whole grooming experience, but now — absolute pro!
There is, one thing he is never going to be happy with and that’s having his front legs groomed 😂

But hey, we can’t be this adorable and be perfect at everything now can we?! 😉
Rudeus, you’re definitely one of my special little ones. 🥰🐾
