‼️Until further notice, I’ve taken the decision to not make any afternoon (13:00pm) appointments until the heatwave has left.

The mornings in the salon are cool, ❄️with the windows open and the fans circulating the cool air nicely- but by lunch the sun is directly above.

The health and safety of your dogs is my 1st priority - over myself; or trade. 🥇

I will be opening up early morning slots for those of you who want them- starting from 8:00am.

This will only be until it’s safe to operate back at my usual hours-

Additionally; heatstroke in dogs is very real, it comes on very fast and can be deadly. Please educate yourself, your friends and strangers who will listen about how fast a walk in the sun can go south.

‼️‼️‼️FIRST AID ‼️‼️‼️

✅GET THEM WET- THEN TO THE VET

✅COLD WATER ON PAWS, CHEST / ARM PITS AND TUMMY FIRST. (These are the areas where the dog will lose heat fastest- time is precious so do not hesitate.)

✅IF YOUR DOG IS YOUNG AND HEALTHY SUBMERGE THEIR BODY IN COOL (NOT ICE COLD) WATER KEEPING THEIR HEAD LIFTED

✅ GET YOUR DOG INTO THE SHADE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND OFFER WATER

✅IF AVAILABLE - PLACE A FAN TO CREATE A BREEZE

✅PHONE THE NEAREST VET (not your favourite one) AHEAD OF TIME AND THEY WILL OFFER YOU ADVICE OVER THE PHONE.

❌COVER YOUR DOG IN A WET TOWEL- this can actually insulate them and make it harder for the heat to escape

❌ WAIT IT OUT TO SEE IF THEY’LL CALM DOWN- if they are panting with their tongue flopped outside of their mouth to the side- this is already an early indicator of heat stress. Don’t risk it!

❌ NEVER LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED IF THEY ARE SUBMERGED IN WATER

Iconic duo- Biscuit 🍪 & Noodles 🍜 🩷 Noodles is coming on amazing, he had a little break from grooms after his leg op- but has been back a couple of times since now and is progressing amazingly from his first puppy grooms to now- Biscuit is a superstar who LOVES her pamper day ❤️

I adore these 2 ❤️ They were both so excited for their bath and and massage 💆‍♀️ that they both hopped in the tub at the same time! Bobi has really come out of his shell and is super affectionate now and it’s so lovely to be able to build that trust with him. Mali is always up for a cuddle on the sofa 🩷

Plenty of hair off in the de-shed which surely helps the sofas at home!! ❤️

Hi all! Just a heads up! I am now ‘Out of office’ until the 5th of June- so if I’m even worse at answering your messages that will be why! 😉

For the next 2 weeks I’ll be trading in cockapoos 🐕‍🦺 for Orangutan’s 🦧 as I’m by heading off to a 130 million year old rainforest in Borneo with university to wrap up my MSc in Wildlife Conservation! 🌳🌴

I will reply as of when I can - I am taking my diary with me so if I do get a spare moment I will try my best to reply!

I have some limited spots available between the 6th and 15th of June- if any of these suit- get in contact- as per usual existing clients will be given priority.
