Hello i'm mia, known online as 𓍊𓋼 mia 𓋼𓍊
where I create educational & feel-good content around nature and foraging.
But besides this, i'm a keen fungi identifier and take special interest in the medicinal properties of certain species. I like to add an element of silliness and whimsy into my teachings because I don't take anything too seriously.
Except for the latin names...and poisonous mushrooms obviously.
I'm leading a mushroom foray on friday @ 1.30 and i'll be around all weekend. See ya there!
Join Flete Field Labs at our Secret Fungi Festival for a fascinating exploration of mycoremediation – the extraordinary potential of fungi to help clean up our environment.
This talk will explore the emerging field of mycoremediation and the remarkable role fungi can play in restoring polluted ecosystems. Drawing on Flete Field Lab’s research and field trials, the talk unpacks the science behind fungal remediation before showcasing practical, community-led approaches to improving water quality. Combining accessible science with real-world case studies, it invites participants to see fungi not only as fascinating organisms, but as active collaborators in ecological restoration, demonstrating how curiosity, collective action, and nature-based solutions can inspire new ways of caring for the landscapes we share.
