Gaining this gentle boys trust one paw-shake at a time ❤️

Hector has always been a bit nervous of grooming, and took a while to take a treat from me. But it’s safe to say he’s relaxing more and more every time he comes to see me 🥰

He knows exactly how to get cuddles from me throughout his groom too 💙

And this is why I don’t rush dogs, never push them to be comfortable sooner than they are ready, and the reward is priceless 🙏🏼

Handsome boy Fred into see me today for a freshen up 🫧 conditioning treatment and trim ✂️all to help with coat recovery.
Fred recently had an eye operation so we carefully worked around this area, just tidying where we could safely 🥰
Extra cuddles were needed for reassurance after this boys recent vet trips 💙

Little bouncy boy Rufus in for his groom 💙 this little man is 1million miles an hour 😂 jumps through my door and doesn’t stop wagging his tail, but really doesn’t tolerate much of the grooming process, so we always just do what we can safely.
Today I tried some different approaches with Rufus, and we achieved more than we have before! Very proud of Rufus’ progress, and hopefully we will get to the point where he realises it’s actually ok! 😊
