Tear staining can be stubborn, but there are a few things that may help minimise it over time:

• Try offering filtered or bottled water, as fewer impurities may help reduce staining.

• Take a look at your dog’s diet and aim for good-quality, less processed foods where possible.

• Gently clean around the eyes daily using a soft water wipe, then carefully dry the area afterwards.
• Regular grooming and keeping the facial hair tidy can prevent moisture, irritation, and bacteria from building up around the eyes.

Every dog is different, so it’s always best to speak with your vet or a canine nutrition professional before making dietary changes.🐶

When your dog comes in for a groom, I’m not only thinking about what style suits them best 🐾

I’m also paying attention to:
✨ Your dog’s skin and coat condition
✨ Checking for any lumps, bumps, or sore areas
✨ Their comfort throughout the groom
✨ Any behavioural changes or signs something may not feel right
✨ Their overall wellbeing and happiness

Sometimes groomers notice small changes before owners do simply because we work so closely with your dogs on a regular basis 🤍

Of course I want your dog leaving looking beautiful, but making sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and happy is always the most important part of the groom💕

✨ A little business update ✨

After balancing grooming alongside my part-time role, I’ve decided to take the leap and focus fully on Fields of Fur from the end of June 🤍🐾

This means I’ll soon have more weekday appointments available!

I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported my little business so far — every share, recommendation and booking has helped me grow to this point 🥹
