We would like to remind all our clients that here at Pristine Pooches, the welfare of every dog we groom is our top priority. We put the dogs welfare before aesthetics every time.
Whilst we strive perfection and of course we want your dogs to look beautiful, if a dog is stressed and upset we will do what we can while keeping your dog as comfortable as possible. Some dogs have had bad experiences in the past or just don't like being groomed, this can mean that the groom isn't perfect, but your dog hasn't been put under any unnecessary stress and over time they become more comfortable with the grooming process.
On vare rare occasions - maybe 3 or 4 in my 15 years of grooming - a dog will become too upset for us to complete the groom. We will not put your dog at risk of hurting themselves or getting cut by our equipment. We understand that this can be upsetting and fustrating as an owner but please understand that if we stop a groom halfway through, this was an absolute last choice. Please do not try to pressure us into doing a groom that we deem to be unsafe for the dog and please respect our decision to end the groom. We are doing our best and working with animals who have their own little personalities and quirks, please treat us with respect. We will refuse our services to anyone who is rude or disrespectful.
Thankful this isn't problem we have to deal with often thanks to our loyal and lovely customers 🐾🩷
