🦎 WE’VE BEEN WORKING ON SOMETHING BEHIND THE SCENES… AND WE’RE EXCITED TO FINALLY SHARE IT! 🌿

Since opening Wright’s Reptiles, I’ve always wanted the business to be about more than just selling animals. Education, responsible husbandry and animal welfare have always been incredibly important to me, and I’ve wanted to find ways to share that passion and knowledge with others.

That’s why I’m proud to introduce the Herpetological & Wildlife Academy (HWA)! 🎓🐍 Herpetological & Wildlife Academy

HWA is an online education platform I’ve been developing to help people expand their knowledge of reptiles, amphibians and wildlife. The aim is to go beyond basic care sheets and help people understand the science behind animal care, from heating and lighting to nutrition, health, welfare, herpetology and conservation.

I’ve put countless hours into researching, writing lessons, developing courses and building the website from the ground up. It’s a project I’m genuinely passionate about, and this is only the beginning!

📚 How does it work?

Our courses feature structured modules, illustrated lessons, quizzes and certificates of completion, allowing you to learn at your own pace, wherever you are.

We currently have our first course, Reptile Husbandry Fundamentals, available, with plenty more in development.

As we’re just getting started, we’d absolutely love for you to check out the website, give the first course a go and share your honest feedback. Your support, reviews and suggestions would mean a lot and help us continue improving the platform.

This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m excited to see where it goes!

1.0 Sinaloan Milk Snake CB23 Available! 🐍
Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae

A stunning Mexican species, native to the dry, rocky regions of Sinaloa, Sonora and Chihuahua. Their bold red, black and cream banding is actually a form of mimicry, closely resembling venomous coral snakes to help deter predators.

They’re primarily nocturnal and opportunistic hunters, with a strong feeding response and a reputation for being hardy, active snakes. 🐍

Care: A dry setup with plenty of secure hides, a good thermal gradient and appropriately sized rodents. They’re excellent escape artists, so a secure enclosure is essential. 🌵🔥

Awesome species and an absolute beauty! ❤️🖤

🐍 CB24 Anery Mexican Nightsnake — Pseudelaphe flavirufa 🐍

NOW THIS IS SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL….

One of the most seriously underrated species in the hobby, and still a rarity to see available in captivity.

Native to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, this is a fascinating species with an incredible natural history and loads of character. In the wild, they can often be found around caves, where they camp outside cave entrances and hang from the walls waiting to ambush bats as they fly out. 🦇

They can be a little snappy, especially when young, but usually settle into fantastic snakes with regular, confident handling. Their care is relatively straightforward for an experienced keeper, requiring a secure, well-ventilated enclosure with plenty of hides, cover and climbing opportunities, a suitable temperature gradient and moderate humidity. They readily accept appropriately sized rodents in captivity.

A seriously underrated snake that deserves far more recognition in the hobby.

🦎 NEW IN! — GECKO NUTRITION COMPLETE DIET 🍌🥭

We’re excited to announce that Gecko Nutrition is now available at Wright’s Reptiles! 🇩🇪🦎

A premium complete powdered diet designed by breeders for Crested Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Day Geckos, Chahoua, Leachianus and other fruit-eating geckos.

What really caught our attention is the ingredient profile. These diets combine real fruit with insect-based protein from Black Soldier Fly larvae, mealworms & crickets, alongside whey protein, micellar casein, pea protein, calcium, vitamins and essential minerals. 🦗🍓

The formulas provide a great balance of protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals, making them a complete everyday diet rather than simply a fruit-flavoured treat.

🍌 CURRENTLY IN STOCK:

🫐 Wild Berry
🍌 Banana
🥭 Mango
🟣 Fig
🦗 High Insect

We’re really impressed with what Gecko Nutrition brings to the CGD market, and we think it’s a fantastic alternative for keepers who want to give their geckos variety without compromising on nutrition. 💪🦎

And this is only the start! 👀🔥
We’ll be expanding our Gecko Nutrition range and bringing in more flavours very soon.

Have you tried Gecko Nutrition before? We’d love to know what you and your geckos think! Drop your favourite flavour in the comments 👇❤️

🐍 1.1 PAIRS OF ARIZONA MOUNTAIN KINGSNAKES AVAILABLE! 🇺🇸

One of those species that you simply don’t see come through the UK captive market very often…

Our 1.1 pairs of Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes (Lampropeltis pyromelana) are available — with one already reserved!

These are an absolutely stunning species, famous for their incredible red, black and white banding and almost milk-snake-like appearance. Native to the mountainous regions of Arizona and surrounding areas, they inhabit rocky slopes, wooded canyons and higher-elevation environments, with some populations occurring at impressive elevations.

Unlike many of the more commonly encountered Kingsnakes, Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes are naturally associated with cooler, high-elevation habitats, making their care and temperature requirements particularly interesting. They’re primarily terrestrial but are capable climbers, and in the wild they spend much of their time moving through rocks, leaf litter and fallen timber.

Their availability in the UK can be sporadic, making a genuine 1.1 pair like this a particularly exciting opportunity for anyone interested in keeping or eventually breeding this species.

❤️ Absolutely stunning snakes. Seriously special species.

⚠️ One already reserved — if you’ve been waiting for Arizona Mountain Kingsnakes, be quick!
