Day 30/30 🐾 That’s a wrap on our September series

A big thank you to everyone who’s followed along, watched the videos and got to know some of the dogs we help.

Over the last month we’ve shared just a small part of what we do — from rehabilitation after surgery and managing long-term conditions, to fitness, confidence and helping dogs stay mobile.

And thank you to all of our clients for letting us share their dogs and their stories.

If you’ve got any questions about hydrotherapy, rehabilitation or whether it could be suitable for your dog, just send us a message — we’re always happy to help.

Thanks for following along with us this September. 🐾

Day 29/30 🐾 Meet Dougal

Dougal is a Basset Hound with bilateral hip dysplasia, spinal osteoarthritis and a bulging disc.

He uses the underwater treadmill for his sessions, helping him stay active and keep moving as comfortably as possible.

And no Dougal treadmill session would be complete without his lickimat 😂 It definitely helps keep him happy and focused while he walks.

We’re introducing you to a different dog every day this September — and tomorrow is the final day of the series.

Day 28/30 🐾 Meet Rosie

Rosie is Harper’s sister and a Labrador with elbow dysplasia.

She uses both the underwater treadmill and pool, although the pool is definitely her favourite. She also wears an ear cover while swimming to help keep her ears out of the water.

And if Nathan’s behind the camera, she’s usually very happy to see him too 😂

Day 27/30 🐾 Meet Harper

Harper is a Husky with hip dysplasia who’s been coming to us since summer 2023.

She alternates between the pool and underwater treadmill depending on what we want to focus on in each session, with the overall aim of helping her stay strong, mobile and comfortable.

It’s a good example of how we can use different types of hydrotherapy depending on what suits the dog and their goals.

Day 26/30 🐾 Meet Briar

Briar is a one-year-old Labrador who comes to us for water confidence, fitness and conditioning.

Her sessions are focused on helping her feel comfortable in the water while giving her a fun way to stay active and build fitness at the same time.

Not every dog comes to hydrotherapy because of an injury — sometimes it’s simply about confidence, conditioning and enjoying exercise in a different way.

Day 25/30 🐾 Meet Oreo

Oreo is a Labradoodle who’s been coming to us since January.

She has elbow coronoid disease and has previously had arthroscopy. She still shows some lameness, so her hydrotherapy is focused on supporting her movement and helping her maintain strength as part of her ongoing rehab.

Day 24/30 🐾 Meet Solar

Solar is a Golden Retriever cross who’s been coming to us since May for right-sided hip dysplasia.

At the end of June, he also had a hip replacement on his left side, so his hydrotherapy now forms part of his ongoing rehab.

The focus is on improving his gait, rebuilding muscle and helping to reduce lameness as he continues to recover.

Day 23/30 🐾 Meet Eric

Eric is a 15-year-old American Cocker Spaniel who’s been coming to us since May.

He has advanced osteoarthritis and some muscle loss through his hind legs, so his sessions are focused on helping him stay comfortable and maintain as much strength and mobility as possible.

At his age, it’s really about keeping him moving in a way that suits him and supporting his quality of life.

Day 22/30 🐾 Meet Aurora

Aurora is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who’s been coming to us since May after developing lameness in her right hind leg.

A luxating patella is suspected, so the main focus of her hydrotherapy has been improving that lameness and helping her move more comfortably.

Her sessions are adjusted as she progresses, depending on how she’s moving and what she needs at the time.
