Hello All, just a reminder, that if you wish to contact us about sick wildlife, please call the numbers below in the first instance.
Messages on the facebook group or page most probably won't be seen urgently.
If there's no answer, please send a text message rather than leave a voicemail.

Please give your name, animal type, location and brief description of the issue.
If you're able, a photo or short video of the injury is also welcome, provided it doesn't stress the animal further.
Please don't bombard our phones as it stops others getting through and rehabbing is a 24/7/365 voluntary role, that we do around employment and everything else life brings. We will respond.
As the name suggests, we generally rehab only hedgehogs and birds, but please enquire for any type of wildlife and we will always do our best to help.
We are unable to come and catch animals or transport them, as we are a tiny charity consisting of a few volunteers. You would need to get the animal to us. Please ask friends, relatives or neighbours for help first.
The rescue is located at Mark & Kirsty's home, not a business premises: 9 Formby Place, Ashton, Preston, PR2 1UR.
Nearly all wildlife rescues are ran in this way!
- Please only attempt to catch sick wildlife if it is safe for you to do so.
- Use gloves and gently throw a net/ towel/ coat over the animal. Generally, animals should go 'still' if they can't see.
- Put the animal on a towel in a box (high sided or lidded with airholes) along with a dish of water (depth in relation to animal size to prevent drowning).
- Place the box indoors eg. shed/ garage/ utility etc - ideally somewhere room temperature, dimly lit & quiet.
If you wish to feed:
Hedgehogs require cat/dog food (meat in jelly or small biscuits).
Birds like birdseed soaked in water to soften, or chopped peas/ sweetcorn/ apple/ lettuce. Some birds like cat/dog meat too.
Please do not attempt to keep and care for the animal yourself, as it is illegal. You can take any animal to a Vet, who should offer life-saving treatment at least, free of charge.
Alternatively, enter your postcode on www.helpwildlife.co.uk for your other nearest rescues. You can also contact www.britishhedgehogs.org.uk
Rescues are not for profit and rely on donations for everything, so whenever you are able, please consider donating money or items - further information is on our groups 'about' section.
Regardless of donations though, we will always help animals wherever we can.
Best wishes and as always thank you for caring 🦔🐥💛
