🐶 Confirmed cases locally! Parvovirus is widespread, life-threatening & highly contagious.⚠️

Cases are seen frequently in unvaccinated dogs due to the ability of the virus to survive in the environment for over a year with resistance to commonly used disinfectants and freezing temperatures.

The best way to protect your dog is with regular vaccinations throughout their life. Unvaccinated dogs are at risk and it is usually fatal without intensive treatment. Check with your vet today if your dog’s vaccinations are up to date.

Today we are all in mourning.
Unfortunately yesterday Senior Nurse Lisa and her husband Matt had to say goodbye to their beautiful boy Thor.
He was the littlest member of their family and our tiniest team member.
He was loved by everyone lucky enough to have met him.
Sleep tight Mr. Thor. We will all miss you very much and the world seems a little less sparkly today. 💚

Little Rex came in for a health check over and was issued with a cover note for free insurance for 4 weeks. His owner is opting for a covered for life policy so that any illness Rex may develop is covered for his lifetime and not just a policy year. We all enjoyed puppy cuddles with him 🐾 💚

Happy International Cat Day! 😻

Here’s to our cats, the big and the small,
The black, white and tabby – we do love them all.

They’re fast and they’re nimble, they’re tough and they’re brave,
But you can’t train a cat… they’ll never behave!

They love to hunt mice, a bird or a vole
(And one of our cats even brought us a mole!)

You’ll buy them a bed just for them to sleep in,
But they’d rather a bag, a book, a box or the bin.

They’ll make all the bedding quite dirty and hairy,
Then jump on your toes, which can sometimes be scary!

They’ll cuddle and purr like a dog never could,
Wrapping tails round your legs wherever you stood.

So here’s to our felines on this special day—
To our cats we all cheer… Hip, hip, hooray! 🐾💚
