🦔🦭🌿 Happy National Wildlife Day! 🌿🦭🦔

Today we’re celebrating all wildlife and the incredible animals we’re lucky enough to share our world with. 💚

As a veterinary practice, we will always see wildlife and care for them when they need our help. From tiny hedgehogs to seals, birds to foxes — we will see them all! 🐾🩺

And recently, we had the pleasure of helping a very special visitor… little Sammy the seal! 🦭💙 Sammy had got himself into a spot of difficulty and needed some veterinary care and a helping hand from our team.

Cases like Sammy’s are a wonderful reminder of why caring for wildlife is such an important part of what we do. Every animal matters, whether they weigh a few hundred grams or are a rather larger visitor from the sea!

This Monday, we’d love you to meet Hannah, our Deputy Head Nurse! 👩‍⚕️🐾

Hannah loves all aspects of nursing, from consulting with clients to monitoring anaesthetics and caring for our patients throughout their treatment. She’s passionate about providing the very best care and is always happy to help! 💕🩺

Outside of work, Hannah is a huge fan of small furries and is the proud owner of three adorable guinea pigs! 🐹🐹🐹 Meet Pumpkin, Spice and Latte — the cutest little trio! 🎃🌶️☕️

🐒🌍 Happy World Primate Day! 🌍🐒

Today we’re celebrating all things primate — and giving a little shout-out to the veterinary professionals who care for them too! 🩺🐵

Unlike human healthcare professionals, veterinary staff need to be trained to work with a whole range of species… including, you guessed it, primates! 🐒

And our Head Nurse Taylor has some very fitting experience. Before she started out in a veterinary practice.🦍🩺

Here’s Taylor just before she began her veterinary journey — looking rather at home amongst the animals! 🥰

From tiny patients to the not-so-tiny ones, veterinary medicine certainly keeps us on our toes. We’re very lucky to have such a diverse range of skills and experiences within our team!

Our amazing nurses recently took a rather unusual phone call. "Do you treat seals" next thing, we are assisting a charity with an injured seal pup that has been found in Portsmouth Harbour!

Little "Sammy" seems to be doing well, well done team Portsmouth!

We’re so excited to have a stall at the RSPCA Stubbington Ark Summer Fete both Saturday and Sunday! ☀️🐶
