I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and spent my first years at my training practice, Orchard Vets in Romsey, before taking on the role of Veterinary Practice Manager. I returned to full time nursing in 2021 after moving to Portsmouth and starting at The Cat Clinic in Southsea. I am passionate about minimising stress for animals during their time under veterinary care and I recognise that owners have differing needs too. As such I have always felt there is a space in veterinary nursing for care outside of the practice where clients’ requirements can be accommodated alongside that of the patient and so I am proud to be launching Vet Nurse Jenny as part of the new District Veterinary Nurse concept. At home my husband Adam and I have a cat called Amber, who was rescued after being abandoned at 6 months old, and two bunnies, Ricochet and Rocket, who came from the Cat and Rabbit Rescue Centre. We are also hoping to add a canine friend to our family very soon.
